ECoastHUSKR
I am seeing rain on Friday night and Saturday morning followed by overcast conditions and possible strong winds. MSU has field turf just as we do, but if the weather conditions are poor who does that help more? In the old days for a game like this MSU would grow the grass long and have it be a pond to slow down AA, but given the field turf I am not sure how big a factor it will be, if at all. BigRedBuster
I'm pretty sure they are back to real grass since 2002. Quote Link to comment
huskerhill
You would think poor weather conditions would favor the team with a better running game. Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
MSU has grass and their running game ain't too shabby. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Field Turf drains with almost no issues. Unless they did the crown in reverse! ha Quote Link to comment
olddominionhusker
Nebraska. Better running game. Passing will be more difficult. MSU biggest threat to our D is through the air while ours to them is on the ground. I don't think it's going to be a huge factor either way but it certainly does not hurt us. Quote Link to comment
ECoastHUSKR
My apologies. I'm just worried with all the rain it will be a very wet track. I'm worried what that could possibly mean for AA. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
The ol' grow-the-grass-long-so-it-only-slows-down-certain-players trick, eh? 1 Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
The ol' grow-the-grass-long-so-it-only-slows-down-certain-players trick, eh? If Langford was built like Bell for them I'd buy into this theory. But since Langford is more of dart and cut back like Ameer, can't do it. Quote Link to comment

StPaulHusker
Does bad weather really favor either team? Quote Link to comment
swmohusker
I think the weather will impact both teams the same and the better team will win. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
I fear bad weather may bring fumbles to NU. We can't lose the TO battle Saturday. 1 Quote Link to comment
