ColoradoHusk
Herbstreit does have a point, but he is an Ohio State homer, and an "old school" Big Ten traditionalist. What I always hated about the Big Ten schools and their fans was how they had such a hard on for their own conference and the "importance" of their own conference. Herby and guys like him think that Ohio State and Michigan are the kings of college football, even though they were not players on the national championship level for most of the 1980s and 90s. Kernal
After a Twitter user, and an apparent Nebraska fan, said Herbstreit can continue picking against Nebraska because the Huskers enjoy seeing him be wrong, Herbstreit fired back. “Great win at Northwestern. When was your last meaningful season?!? Shhhh.. When you LOSE say little — When you WIN say less.” Herbstreit picked Northwestern to beat the Huskers on Saturday. But Nebraska won 24-13. ...more recently than his. Quote Link to comment

RunMickeyRun02
Yeah, he's not wrong. I don't understand getting upset when some talking head picks against your team. I was worried about the NW game too. I stopped watching GameDay years ago. I don't miss it. As far as I'm concerned talk is for the offseason, when actual football comes around that's what I watch, even then it's all I can do to put up with the commentators. I couldn't care less what this person or that person picked to win. 1 Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
Tweeting him about this is almost as stupid as tweeting recruits. No matter what happens....your the one that's going to look like an idiot. 4 Quote Link to comment
lilred
What's weird about Herbstreit is he will engage literally anyone on twitter. He loves to get into sh#t with random guys on the internet. I don't really understand it. I mean he looks kinda foolish to me. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerMav11
When was our last meaningful season? And I agree with him. 1 Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
The hypocrisy of a sports talking head telling fans to shush is delicious. 5 Quote Link to comment

Calm down y'all. He's got a point, and it's no big deal. Quote Link to comment
