  1. That day never existed. News has always had a slant. Fox just took it to a whole 'nother level and never looked back.

  2. i chose to focus on trump because i thought he was a totalitarian who would never give up power...then behold what happened at the end of his term...he incited a crowd to sack the capitol and try to have himself installed as president even though he lost the election. TDS is real....and it's his followers that have it.

  3. Well, my wife and I are getting the shot in the arm in a couple of hours. I'll let you know if I end up growing a tail or an extra ear. Just glad to take the next step to get this behind us.

  4. "Scientifically factual"? You are being intentionally obtuse. You know what Ben Shapiro was trying to do here.

  5. I really can't blame an analyst for our special teams struggles. Dude can't coach in practice, games, hell he couldn't even be on a headset during games. An analyst should be used to assist a full time coach, not be handling an entire unit.

  6. Biological sex has to do with sex chromosomes, and there are more than 2 combinations in nature. Gender has to do with social constructs, like the idea that men should wear pants and like the color blue, women should wear dresses and like the color pink. These have nothing to do with biological sex.

  7. I agree that most media is slanted one way or the other. I disagree that the majority is clearly to the left. Possibly by the sheer number of leanings but I would say the most damage and most overt cases are obviously being done by right leaning media. It's a strange phenomenon but right leaning people seem to bemoan the liberal media at any opportunity yet those same people fail to properly vet their own news sources and mistake anything they don't like as being propagated by the left leaning media. The result is a bunch of people improperly label actual facts as liberal propaganda. Example; the election was stolen, Trump has been mistreated, etc.

  8. Nothing in particular. I was just trying to get clicks. Just kidding. Mostly it's around her insider trading scandal from last winter. I realize she was eventually cleared of wrongdoing, but it just rubbed me the wrong way (and reminded me how much congressional insider trading rules need updating). She's also welcomed the support of known white supremacists and QAnon conspiracy theorists, and she planned on rejecting the election results until all hell broke loose in the Capitol. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things, but that's my CliffsNotes version.

  9. I'm so f#&%ing tired of hearing about this fake "cancel culture" crap. Hey, Kelly, you lost because the public wanted someone else. If that's cancel culture.....I guess you've been canceled.

  11. Strong words coming from McConnell. I can't see how he couldn't vote to convict now. If he does, it's a done deal. R's will follow. Finally, there will be a vote and trump will be barred from holding office again. Amen. Less than 24hr remaining for that orange scum in the WH. It feels like a new beginning is about to happen.

  12. Not going to get into the transgender thing because who cares. But to the first point, I see this a lot, and on the surface it looks bad, but there literally is no other option. My job allows me to work closely with hospital discharge planners. Hospitals full, patient stable enough to leave, hospital needs the bed, patient doesn't have the care structure in place at home (will likely return to hospital if discharged home), care facility IS the only option for these people. Curious what your solution is?

  15. I just want to say I really have limited understanding on how people perceive themselves as a gender. Dont care in fact. You want to be a man, be a man. Want to be a woman, be a woman. But let's not forget an important thing here. And that is based on the tweet, Archy and Shapiro don't know the difference between sex and gender. And that's factual.

  16. You aren't looking at the very forum you're currently posting in then. There's a lot of posters who don't belong to either party. There was also a lot more policy and ideology discussion before Trump's non-stop insanity sucked the air out of all the politics discussions.

  24. Archy, I like discussing issues with you. But, this is BS. So, when we have a narcissistic idiot as a President that breaks laws and incites violence, we are just supposed to look the other way and say....oh...ha ha....see, he's a different kind of President? That's BS. I'm old enough to remember when Republicans actually even tried to act like character counts.

  26. So here is a great example of fake news provided by Archy. The "tweeter" of this comment is none other than PoliMath, who describes them self as an "Only marginally compelling and occasionally accurate, sometime writer, engineer, cake-baker" and writes a marginally compelling newsletter. Needless to say, PoliMath has this disease figured out.

  34. The FUMC in downtown Denver? My wife and I were members there for a couple years when we lived in Colorado. Great church, great people, and very progressive. When we were there, politics were never, ever discussed, but the inclusivity and kindness toward all people speak volumes. In our subsequent moves, we haven't found another church like it. I don't consider myself a religious guy, either, but this was a church I felt good in. Other churches tend to give me the creeps.

  36. I saw a Facebook post over the weekend that Biden and the rest of the Dems and the media are spending too much time focusing on the attacks on the capitol and that there have been other bad events in US History. It hasn't even been 2 weeks and people want to sweep the events under the rug. Un-freaking-believable.

  38. I guess I don't know that we can say at this point that depth will be an issue. Inexperience behind the starters is an issue but that's almost a given when you return three starters. We don't know if our backup linemen are that good. Neither does basically anyone else in the country. We also didn't recruit the OL particularly well for several years. In the 2016 class, only Farniok became a regular starter. Wilson started some. Raridon and Brokop were non-factors. In the 2017 class, Jaimes was a great get but Bando, Walker and Sichterman are busts. In the 2018 class, we only got Will Farniok as an OL. So... yeah. But Jurgens was in that class (as a TE, four-star recruit) so that helps. Three classes. Looks like two total regular starters (recruited as OL). Neither are still here. Since then, things seem to have picked up. In the 2019 class, Benhart (four-star recruit) and Piper are already starting. Banks will probably be a backup this year. Not much after that but that's a good base. In the 2020 class, Corcoran was our highest-rated recruit and looks to be a starter next year. We only took two OL recruits in this class because of how many we had to take in 2019. We also got transfers in Ezra Miller (a four-star recruit to Iowa) and Nouredin Nouili (freshman starter at Colorado State) to help fill in. In the 2021 class, Prochazka was our second-highest-rated recruit. OL is the spot where it takes the longest to develop and be ready to contribute. The 2016, 2017 and 2018 classes should be the fourth- and fifth-year guys next year. But that's not an option. We started a lot of younger guys this year partly because they are better and partly because there were few options ahead of them. So Jurgens is likely the "old guy" of the starters next year. Most everyone else that will contribute has only been here for a year or two. So it's tough to know who's going to work out and who isn't.

  40. imagine if you will.....joe biden has a rally in washington DC.....he and his fellow dems fire the crowd up to march over to the capitol to "persuade" republicans to do a certain thing. they use terms like fight, be strong, you will never win your government back, trial by combat, and other such language. the crowd then storms the capitol. they kill a cop and send dozens of other cops to the hospitals. they chant "hang Mitch" wjile they have a noose set up outside. several guns and tasers are confiscated during the assault. pipe bombs and home made molotov cocktails with melted styrofoam in them (to make it stick like napalm) are confiscated.. would you consider those people heros of the revolution?
