I have to say that’s severely lacking for a would be presidential candidate. So he’s in the right ballpark on abortion. I guess that’s something compared to most of the GOP. As far as Covid, I’m failing to see how he handled it any better than our governor in Colorado. And not everyone is as convinced as you are that all his decision have proven to be correct. Although he may be deserving of an Emmy for his demeanor in addressing it. IDK, I expect quite a bit more before I’ll throw in with a presidential candidate. It would be a bonus if they weren’t a jackwagon while doing their duties. Online sports gambling…really? Did he do that by decree or was it actually Fla voters? Desantis is just Trump without actually being Trump. He allows people who support Trump to claim they don’t (because deep down they know what a s#!tshow he is) but they can still ride the s#!tshow train.6 points

You have an obsession with Gilbert over HS stars that were given to him over 3 years ago. Best I can tell he has played in 3 games the last 2 years. He is on his 3rd school in 4 years. There is a decent chance he never sees the field here.6 points

“He’s buried on the depth chart. He’d play more if he wasn’t buried on the depth chart.” I mean… sorry man, but, that’s ridiculous.6 points

I would love for him to run. But, this is exactly why Larry Hogan wouldn't win the nomination. He doesn't feed into all the fake outrage made up issues the Republican party has come to live on. Republican voters aren't going to vote for him because he's not going to come out and rant about the libs taking our gas stoves away, he hasn't combed through the school's libraries looking for books to ban...etc.5 points

I mean giving a tax break for gas stoves is about as textbook faux-outrage as it gets. But that's all the GOP voters need. It's a party and electorate fueled by so much fake outrage - as evidenced by Assault Rifle lapels - that the entire party is begging to be grifted by individuals with no shame willing to do it. Not to mention many other problems with what you said: the way he handled COVID in his state, for example. If the goal was to confuse citizens about public health and kill constituents, then Florida did great. Florida ranks 13th in COVID deaths per capita and 3rd in overall deaths.5 points

Please don't be so thick. 100% of the Republican National Committee declared the Jan 6 rioters to simply be engaging in "legitimate political discourse." https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/feb/04/republicans-capitol-attack-legitimate-political-discourse-cheney-kinzinger-pence4 points

And there it is.....just as predicted. I don't DISAGREE with any variables. I DISAGREE with your weak attempt at using variables to drive your narrative I actually used the one variable you used to excuse Desantis' Covid record, that being his state's population age. I compared other states with a similar demographic. His record fell flat. It's right there in the data but you'll gloss right over it as predicted. So we've reached the stage that everyone reaches when dealing with @Archy1221. The stage where he'll continue to blather incoherently and move the goal posts even though the other party has moved on to other things in life. Like work.4 points

You do have to dig to learn more, but in fairness to the media, Ron DeSantis is running for President and is -- by choice -- saying lots of inflammatory and divisive things to play to both a local and national base. That base likes its narratives two-sided and nutty.4 points

Can I ask what you do see in Desantis? Granted I don’t know a lot about him but everything I’ve seen about him is similarly stupid faux outrage issues. Battling Disney, grandstanding busing immigrants to other states, worrying about CRT, wanting to censor books and curriculum in schools, don’t say gay nonsense, gas stoves…. What are the real issues he stands for that are worthy of your support? All I see is a slightly smarter Trump playing the wronged and marginalized white man to a prepackaged MAGA audience that is more than eager to lap it up.4 points

Huh, welcome to the party! We've been telling you this for 2 full years. The insurrection happened because Trump wanted it to, and they ensured it would happen by Trump and his senior staff denying requested personnel increases and national guard help. YUP- I guess you could say that is them not taking the Intel serious. Glad you've finally come around4 points

Yep, okay. Good thing he's not a cabinet member of the white house or in a federal position. He's a weird adult man. This news is getting to the point like the paparazzi stalking the royals or something. So stupid.3 points

The mental side is the question though, they're not going to throw him out there if he's not in a good place. I love recruiting rankings, but Tyreke Johnson was in his ballpark and does not appear to be poised to contribute. I love the addition but I fully expect Kemp to see more offensive snaps than Gilbert. Fleeks seems like a culture guy who could be more if he can put injuries behind him, Kemp is a solid, proven receiver. Gilbert could be a game changer, but having no insight into his personal situation it's tough to expect major contributions given his career arc so far.3 points

I literally posted that same data 1) Florida didn’t kill any of its citizens unless it was a death penalty case not did any other State. 2) Do you understand how demographics work and confounding risk factors play a role in a death rate for certain disease? 3) Do you know the vaccination rate of Florida seniors compared to the national average? So again, what variables do you DISAGREE with. You’ve just stated the ones you agreed with. Thanks and looking forward to the reply. In relation to the Florida election law, those would be….3 points

He'll be the starter at tight end for the upcoming season. He's still only a sophomore. It's not that I so much care about his stars but will say is that I take in the fact that he was the 2019 National Gatorade Player Of The Year which has never been given to a tight end ever, the award as been giving out since 1985 which means enough people thought of him highly and when he went to LSU, he started 8 games as a freshman and was All-SEC. Now do I know why he transferred and sat out his first year at Georgia? No, but maybe he needed to recharge himself and when he did decide to play and go through spring ball he was already behind the 8 ball bc of the top established talent in front of him. So like I said before his talent has never left him, just needs to be in the right situation for himself and fortunately for us we have him on our roster. Actually we have 2 highly thought of tight ends and are looking forward to seeing how the OC takes advantage of the mismatches on the field.3 points

That is not true. A ton of the stuff posted here is posted with "What a moron" or "Great, here is another stupid idea" and things like that.3 points

Im saying his talent has never left him so he shouldn't be downgraded bc he was buried. Georgia already had starters in place before he even joined the team. It be like Thomas Fidone if he decided to transfer after the spring do you think he should be downgraded bc he could have played last year but the coaches didnt want him hurting himself again and so he sat out. If he were to join another powerhouse he would be downgraded as a transfer even though coming out of high school he was the top tight end on certain sites. The talent is still there so why downgrade bc of certain circumstances?3 points

Well, I don't necessarily agree with Omar on some issues. But, taking her off committees is total BS when you look at the people that McCarthy is putting ON the committees Dems made the rules last time now they have to live with them. I would prefer the minority party picks their committee members without majority party input. But the Dems decided that wasn’t the way to play so now we have this.2 points

For those that don't live in Nebraska, property taxes are a huge issue. Multiple governors have committed to fixing it. But, none have. How, we have a new one that is trying. Something that's always been frustrating for me in the discussion is, everyone has great ideas on how to lower the taxes. But, nobody has the great idea on how to replace the revenue. Some have mentioned legalizing pot and gambling and tax it. It's about the only idea I've heard. I'm not sold on that this would create enough revenue to replace what they want to cut.2 points

Again, these techniques are not unique to Florida and while the GOP pretends to act outraged over the accusation, they are 100% aware that these legal sounding but unnecessary measures are designed to target the people most likely to vote Democrat. The proof is that the honest ones have admitted the strategy for years.2 points

your proof is an activist judge’s ruling?? Do you have a ruling on the appeal to post? The US court of appeals for the 11th circuit paused that ruling earlier this year while it considers an appeal from Florida officials.2 points
