  1. Not sure what your point is here. I would absolutely love to have a better choice than Trump or Biden. Romney, McCain, Cheney….any of those would do just fine. The point is exactly what I stated and doesn’t really pertain to you. It’s for those Dems who accused Romney and a McCain of being s#!tty, racist, women hating, xenophobia yet now claim those folks were actually great guys.

  2. Seriously. WTF? I mean, I remember back when the Democrats nominated notorious centrist and reach-across-the-aisle guy Joe Biden, and the Right treated him like Karl Marx. Or are you simply pointing out that the Republican Party has abandoned competence and decency in order to run candidates that further inflame liberals? Remember, we did go down the Cheney road. Nobody on the Left forgot her pre-Trump record. But many on the right considered her turn on Trump a betrayal of the party. That would be you. Isn't it a bit weird that your "gotcha!" is actually an admission of your party's march to extremism?

  3. This bulls#!t is exactly why Taylor and I broke up years ago. Things were pretty hot and heavy between us then she dropped the same rules on me. I told her what she could do with her clothing allowance (only $250k at that time). She begged me to reconsider but I dumped her a$$. I told her that she was being mean and that we were never getting back together.

  5. Nebraska opens as 2.5 point underdogs with an over/under of 143.5. ESPN gives them a 38.6% chance to win. Rice is still out. (I think since I haven't heard anything), Keita is available for emergencies & Ulis is suspended. GBR!

  6. SCOTUS so high on their own supply as high-minded apolitical neutral arbiters of the law (lol) that they just took up Trump’s ridiculous immunity argument that’s been destroyed at every lower level so they can in effect gift him another delay trying to run out the clock on justice. SCOTUS is a bad joke. There’s a reason their reputation is in the toilet. With lots of evidence they themselves are openly corrupt and able to be bought for the highest bidder, it’s no mistake they want to let the slimiest, most corrupt scumbag in our political hellscape slide by on his rather obvious crimes. But HEY! Look over HERE! It’s Hunter’s schlong!

  10. My perfectly chosen words were pointing out that it doesn’t matter who Republicans nominate, that person will be considered a racist, xenophobic, social security killing, devil spawn once the general election rolls around. It’s a time honored tradition by the left. Then an election or two happens and the Left begins to say, “ well why can’t the Right nominate a good candidate like they did in the previous elections?” As stated above, it wasn’t a gotcha statement That wouldn’t be me. My issue with her is she couldn’t get over 2020 and only focused on 2020. One of my same beefs with Trump post 2020 as you have read me post a few times now. THAT would be me, mi amigo.

  16. Here is who I have voted for in every election since 1984. 84 Reagan 88 & 92 HW Bush 96 Dole 2000 & 04 GW Bush 08 McCain 12 Obama 16 Ind Gary Johnson IIRC 20 Biden 24 Biden I can tell you categorically the change was not that I switched sides. The problem was that my party had begun the bats#!t trajectory. I thought Obama did okay in his first term so I bucked my trend in 2012 and voted for a Dem for the first time in my life. I liked that a Pres and party were actually attempting to address healthcare. That was my key issue at the time and I honestly have no recollection of what I felt about Romney at that time. 2016 I disliked both candidates so wasted my vote on an independent but I really didn’t feel all that strongly opposed to Trump. That changed by 2017-2018. By 2020 I had grown to absolutely despise Trump and his MAGA BS, so much so that I voted for a Dem I did not like at all, Biden. Took a lot of heat within my family and my wife’s family for it. But I will absolutely do it again this year also unless somebody else with a very real chance to beat Trump comes out of the woodwork in the next few months. My hope is that DJT’s fat a$$ keels over dead from lawsuit stress and poor nutritional choices before November.

  17. Romney, McCain, and Cheney were the ones brought up in discussion. Therefore that’s the ones that were followed up on. I thought you understood that’s what was being talked about.

  23. This What If is a tough one: What if.... Frank had beaten Texas in 1999 (lost fumble crossing goal line on what would have been the winning TD) and won the NC, would that have prevented his firing 4 years later? I think it would be pretty difficult for Peterson to have fired Frank in 2003 if he had one the NC in 1999. If we had not fumbled against Texas, I think we beat either VT or FSU in the NC game. Perhaps that also elevates Frank's image nationally and we get better recruits and we never experience that 7-7 year in 2002. And maybe we don't get blown out by Colorado in 2001. Regardless, Peterson was wrong to have fired Frank when he had a 9-3 team. Maybe Frank doesn't win another NC but he is able to maintain the program for 8-12 more years and sets up Bo to take over the program without the BC stain on it.

  27. Just so Guy doesn’t get mad, I’m putting this here because you could insert almost any politicians name into this thread (until you get to the end and then it’s more uniquely Democrat) and come up with about the same results. It’s how politicians live a lavish lifestyle while working for less than lavish pay. People should either not donate to politicians like I don’t or demand a greater stewardship of the money given. Stay in the same type of places and travel the same way they would if they were paying with their own money instead of someone else’s.

  34. Pretty much what @JJ Husker said. This seems pretty obvious. Not part of my argument but possible. What evidence? OK. But that wouldn't have anything to do with it if the league is telling all refs to let stuff go. Pretty sure every fan thinks everyone else gets more calls than their players do. No one in the NBA might whine as much as LeBron. But I digress. I think it is similar but not the same. In football there is always "holding" but it is more of a judgement call if it creates an unfair advantage or not. If you're "holding" in a normal blocking position, it's part of the block. If you're holding as the guy is getting away from you, it's a hold. With traveling or double dribbling, it is supposedly very clear cut what is allowed and what is not. It just seems incredibly obvious that it is the implementation of the rule is significantly different from what the rule actually says. As I've said for years, the NBA is not basketball. It's a business meant to resemble the game of basketball. They want entertainment value and that's one way they get it.

  35. This is the most talented Husker team I’ve seen since the one that won the NIT….better than that one even I think but baffling how they can play so good against Purdue then go stink it up against the #37 team in the Big Ten.

  36. I remember way way way back when Romney was “gonna put you all back in chains” and mocked for wanting to hire women in his administration if elected (binders full of women). That he was gonna gut SS and throw grandma off a cliff. That he was a Private Equity robber Barron that didn’t care about Black people. Ahhhhh, but now people long for the sensible Romney Remember way back in the Time Machine when McCain was just a war monger and racist for wanting to “finish the dang fence”. When he was too old to elect. Ohhh, but now we would all vote for them. Gotcha. Cheney….well I mean do we really need to go down that road and see what the Left thought of her pre-Trump?? I didn’t think so.

  37. Yup. It's astonishing. I mean, the idea of Putin preferring Biden - who is currently trying to give Ukraine billions of dollars worth of military equipment - in lieu of Trump who's party doesn't want to give Ukraine military equipment... is just insane.

  38. IV. Persecuting his Perceived Political Enemies Trump said, “As soon as I am reelected, I will appoint a real special counsel, or maybe you’ll call him a special prosecutor, whatever you want to call it … to look at all of these bribes, kickbacks, and other crimes, as well as the shameless attempt at a coverup. Justice will be done. The Biden crime family will be looked at. We have to get there first, we have to win the election. They’re trying to step in my way at every path because the one person they don’t want to run is Donald Trump. But when we get there, the Biden crime family will pay a price like other people are being forced to pay. And that price will be very, very substantial.” Trump said: “If I happen to be president, and I see somebody who’s doing well and beating me very badly, I say, ‘Go down and indict them.’ Mostly that would be, you know, they’d be out of business. They’d be out of the election.” Trump said, “This is third-world-country stuff, ‘arrest your opponent.’ And that means I can do that, too.” As President, Trump repeatedly told his Chief of Staff John Kelly that he wanted the IRS to investigate several of his perceived political enemies, including former FBI director James Comey and deputy director Andrew McCabe. Both Comey and McCabe were subsequently subjected to a rare, intensive IRS audit that affects only one out of every 30,600 tax filers. Trump has expressed support for executing high-ranking American government officials, and while in office he used the levers of government to harass and intimidate his political opponents. Trump’s words and actions suggest he would interfere with or stop prosecutions of his political allies. On Jan. 6, 2021 Trump expressed support for the January 6 rioters who were chanting, “hang Mike Pence,” including commenting that Pence “deserve[d]” it. Trump claimed in an interview with the New York Times in December 2017 to have “an absolute right to do what I want with the Justice Department.”
