      Lettering probably depends on the school, sport, and roster size. For bigger schools with football, most coaches require kids to play a certain number of snaps at varsity, regardless of grade level.

      For example, my high school football qualification was playing 8 different quarters throughout the season.

       

      Playing a quarter = playing 1 play in that quarter. So I got to letter sophomore year because I was on nothing but the PAT team :)

      I was walking next to him after the Iowa game and we were pretty much eye to eye. I'm 5'6 1/2". He could have a taller forehead than me, but not 2 1/2"!

      Great series! I think the second season (with the murder) got kind of lame for a bit but it was a great show. The problem with those shows that are set in high school/college is that it is tough to keep the characters around.
