One of Sioux City’s most recognized and loved icon, died two days ago which saddens me. She was 100 and was mostly known as a door greeter at Walmart and working at the Mall’s movie theater. RIP Mikki!!!

Hey GUYS.....there’s a nice lady on mywingmanmatch.com that’s looking for a man to take to Husker football games. Just heard it on the radio hahaha

Looking for a good receiver for under $500 that’s 7.2. Deciding between the Sony STRDH770 or Yamaha RX-V583B. Anyone have other options to look at?

Thinking about getting a Bose Soundtouch 300 w/ the Bose Acustimass 300? Or should I update my receiver and get a all new subwoofer, floor speakers and bookshelf speakers? Thoughts?

If you want to go wireless then Sonos will be much better than Bose. However, running wires behind walls isn't too complicated especially if you have a suspended ceiling. If you ever want true surround sound, you will have to plug your rear speakers into an outlet in locations that you probably don't have outlets. But if a soundbar and sub is all you want, then the Sonos playbar and sub is significantly better than Bose. There are also much cheaper soundbars with wireless subs that will be better than Bose.

@Dewiz Been traveling the last couple of days. Here is my assessment; use as you wish. Systems like SoNos are a closed ecosystem. Currently, it supports 5.1, the current state of the art is 7.4.2+. When Sonos decides to expand there is zero guarantee that the current systems won't be left behind., with wired you just run more wires and upgrade the receiver, and sell the old one on CL to offset the costs.
If you are starting with a 5.1 system there is no need to knock holes in the ceiling. Under carpet runs are pretty easy to do, this will save hassle down the line if you upgrade to ATMOs. IMO long term effective leans on wired.

Ran into a Florida fan that had no idea their volleyball team played tonight. She goes “I’d watch it if it was the football team.” Hey lady your volleyball team is playing for the Natty

Volleyball is easy to watch, easy to understand, and takes very good athleticism to play, not to mention a very entertaining sport. Many families grow up with daughter's playing the sport so they are familiar with it. It's also televised. So it's not hard to see why, in a state with no major pro sports, a successful and publicized team get a strong following. Especially when the other mainstay team has been sub par for almost a decade.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Martinez. But does anyone have info on the injury? I've started to sift through his thread buy don't really see any details. What I know: right shoulder injury during Junior basketball that was originally supposed to be healed by the start of football but still caused him to miss his Senior season. I'm assuming with scholarship offers and the AA game that people have seen him at camps or something. Just looking for current video since the injury, thanks!

@funhusker I understand it was a torn labrum that was repaired by one of the top ortho surgeons in the nation. He played his junior season with the injury. From what I've heard, he will be good to go and it should not be a concern going forward.
