Same with Trace McSorely. Watched a lot of PSU football over the last two years. He was very celebratory as a first year starter, “hitting the homerun” and all, but that has tamed down. Anyway, after PSU lost Godwin, who took the top off the defense that allowed teams to focus on shutting down the run game. They still had Gilecki who was a beast, but Godwin could score on any play, like McSorely and Barkley could. Pretty similar to Browning decline in production over the years

@Melby For an individual, I’m very intrigued by two TM “what-ifs.” What if he started and played as a true freshman in ‘09 and what if he never got had the high ankle sprain. 

If we had four guys that could rush the passer on their own, then we could. 

Unfortunately, we barely have one. 

Our line is terrible today. Getting pushed back 2 yards every run play...

TT played pretty physical and has really good defense. I don't know about the first 4 teams we played but thinking they weren't near as good. TT was picked 7th in the Big 12 preseason for reference- I thought they looked better than that. We'll know more after we play a couple more better teams but the style and intensity of Nebraska's play seemed the same as usual. Not good if we have to depend on other teams handing us games. BTW, I'm just a casual observer of Nebrasketball. There are many others who could offer much better insight.

Sports Ill, said we would win our first ncaa tour game this year. 

What I'm reading here doesn't sound good. Probably just an off night for the team.

If Miles could ever find an offense that gets guys moving off the ball we would be fine. Its just so much standing around, and against a good defense its not gonna work. If we could even run something similar to the Princeton offense it would make a huge difference.

I’ve got my doubts about him as well but if we had Saban, Venables and Mike Ditka on staff, they couldn’t do much more with these players either. We just don’t have enough difference makers. Tough to play any kind of defense with no line, no edge rushers, 1.5 linebackers and about half a DB.

I think Frost has one maybe two more recruiting cycles before his name stops drawing interest, from the elite kid's out there. The thing he did at UCF will wear off,  and let's hope he plucks some help for both lines and some d/b players, before that happens.

Would Google Voice or another online digital assistant help with this? You could give the digital assistant your number, route all calls through it, and change the voice mail outgoing message based on circumstance? (Plus it helps reduce spam calls...)

Some cell phones have this option now, but I'm sure you can find a landline that will do that.

Yeah, I'm not sure how he is still seeing the field. He hasn't looked very good this entire season.

I'm not sure what most of these guys are doing on defense. Between over running plays and never getting in position, there isn't much left. D is hot garbage.

Sadly that's the way it has been for the last 10 years.
