  1. NO clue how this works, but is it possible we could seek to minimize the payout to Bo over this?

Ha! No...calling your ex boss a name won't cost him a thing and really, who cares about the buyout? I don't...

      Minnesota_husker

If he said disparaging things about the University, They could sue him... but he wasnt let go because of those comments.. so probably not a leg to stand on.

    4. The King

      The King

Just started talking about it on Twitter that they might pursue the buyout

  2. This is why Suh said there were more problems than the HC, which they clearly do. HP and SE are tools; but No might've been the biggest in the room and certainly built a culture of negatitivity.

Ummm, because Suh is a major donor....

That doesn't mean anything. All their going to do with Suh is smile and take his money. Not talk about the nature of the football program with him.

      The King

Because Suh talks to players, coaches, others. He knows a lot

  3. Orgeron interested...if he isn't hired, idk what to say.

No reason NOT to hire him

Riley is trying to lure Pat Narduzzi here.

    3. ColoradoHusk

      ColoradoHusk

Do we know if Riley has any type of relationship with Orgeron? You typically don't hire an assistant you don't know.

  4. Bielema was offered job yesterday, turned it down. Via Gil Brandt

      Junior

      Thank goodness. Riley > Bielema

  5. Well, Tommy won't be QB next year. Back to the west coast O...

  6. Bielema would be a helluva hire.

    1. swmohusker

      swmohusker

Yeah buddy! That would be a splash hire. He has already proven he can when without high star ratings. Now he can pull some more talented players and coach a style that would fit in the big ten. I love frost but i dont see that style working in November at camp randle.

  7. Scott Frost is the favorite according to Vegas.. no, please no.

  8. interesting to watch again: QB competition. Darlington, Stanton, Tommy, Bush, true frosh? Who knows. they'll all be in the same place learning the O depending on the hire. could be COMPLETELY different than this year. its like knowing nothing again.

  9. Reuben Jones : Nebraska doesn't know what they are doing, they are gonna lose this class. thanks, Boss. this is bigger than one class.

It was a small class anyway. And there plenty of established youth on the team to begin with. Its actuall perfect toming for a change.

2015 is a year that obviously could be a wash. It could go either way but who would be shocked with any letdown? We just fired our HC. To be honest though, I don't expect a huge letdown. Let's see if the current players will man up.

  10. As fans, we owe Bo a lot

I think his buyout is enough. We owe our AD more for listening to the fans who pay for the success of this program.

    3. beanman

      beanman

Exactly Watson. The guy leaves here rich and can pick up a D-coordinator job somewhere without a problem. He'll be fine. The only person I feel sorry for is Ganz. And Ron Brown.

    4. Dr. Mantis Toboggan

      Dr. Mantis Toboggan

      Is Ron Brown fired also?

  11. 9-3, better than 8-4. staff still needs to go. Pap, Beck, Els at minimum

Preferably proven coordinators. No more learn on the job guys. What's Zook up to?

  12. when Harbaugh is fired by SF, how much do we offer him?

He's a Michigan man. If they didn't have an opening we might have a chance, but that's not the case...

    3. The King

      The King

You never know, Michigan could always botch it..

Anyways, it was purely hypothetical. I don't think we would pay enough to land him and Pelinis buyout.

    4. Hammerhead

      Hammerhead

Yeah, Harbaugh's roots are in Michigan. Unless we offer him Pete Carroll's head on a stake (which I'd totally be okay with), our money's probably no good to him.

  13. I say we recruit 20 QBs next year. we can't f#*k up the development of all of them can we?

  14. we should be getting housed by this team all they have to do is run to cockrells side. no cooper, no Gregory, out LBs are trash.

Im guessing if the rumblings are this strong its coordinators and assistants only. That would explain the brain farts from the Minny game.

    3. ObamaRocks91

      ObamaRocks91

If the coordinators are the only change, Bo will have hired 6 coordinators in 7 years. Beck and Pap are terrible, but Bo was given the opportunity to choose them after he let go his first round of coordinators.

      NUpolo8

If only Beck and Pap go the sellout streak also goes.

I wonder how many will say they aren't going to watch, but will be able to miraculously participate in a discussion about what happened during the game?

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

That shouldn't matter, many around here only care about the record and wins or losses. How they come about doesn't seem to matter. All a person needs to know is the final score.

  17. Bo, it's either you or the position coaches/coordinators. Something has to change. Fisher & Brown & Warren can stay, everyone else, gone.

Nope. Kaz/Garrison, is tricky. OL is incredibly hit/miss, rotation is poor, development needs improvement. I'd probably can Garrison, keep Kaz because of his recruiting and the DL is pretty solid but we have 3/4 nfl players on it, too. Els needs to be canned today

    3. Junior

      Junior

Els needed to be canned 3 years ago

If we are being honest, I kind of forgot he was even on the staff.

  18. need to start making some coaching changes, Bo, it is about the big picture. you or them #QBcoachplease

Sad thing is...he's made awesome decisions and throws at times...just amazing sh#t..then he and the whole team play like dog sh#t...game would've been worse if Neb didn't capiltize on those turnovers...

    4. Danny Bateman

      Danny Bateman

He's a very gifted runner. He makes awesome throws only when his first read gets open. Beck cannot help him grow beyond that. Coop whiffed absolutely terr-eh-bly on that first Gordon TD. Dove for the knees and no use of arms.

  19. well this turned into a laugher. side note: Melvin Gordon is the best RB ..next year find a QB who is a better passer than runner...

    1. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Pass first run second. I thought Tommy was better. Turns out, in Becks system, a freshman can get worse.

    2. Warrior10

      Warrior10

I am worried we don't have that option on the roster.

  20. Say we make the playoffs, who do you want to play? FSU, BAMA, or Oregon? I say Oregon, because OL is decimated, lost Pharaoh Brown. May not be the worst thing to narrowly miss out on the playoffs this year, feel slighted next year (with a better team)

I wouldn't be afraid of FSU, Oregon, TCU or MissSt. My order would be: MissSt (I doubt they make it though), FSU, TCU, Oregon, then Bama.

Dude....he said something meaningful that we were all thinking...how many times has he done that...not much last year. Good, put them on blast right f'ing now. That o-line game was straight pathetic. NEB can hang with that f'ing team IMO.
