Twinkletoes Flintstone
Nothing official here, but kind of a cool video I stumbled upon. I wish whoever did this fleshed the idea out a little more. Like show it from a distance without the animation. 2 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
The concourse area and possibly that bar and grill area will be a blast. 1 Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Quote Dannen said the stadium situation is "on the same trajectory it was had there been no change in leadership right now in athletics." He noted the original plan was that NU athletics officials might go back to the Board of Regents in June "based off the ability to fund raise." Dannen said he is still getting his arms around that subject. "There are some very obvious things. And it's not necessarily just the South End Zone. We've got to get chairbacks in East and West (Stadiums). We've got to do some concessions work. We've got to get some WiFi done. ... I hope we have expanded offerings form a concessions standpoint. I hope we go cashless and we need a good WiFi system to do that." Also important, Dannen said there are $40 million in donor donations that back their seat purchases each year that back their seat purchases in the stadium. Next to the conference television revenue, it's our No. 1 source of revenue. We've got to make sure we take care of those seats that have a purchase price, or have a seat license behind them. Get the amentities up to incentivize people to continue to want to do that." 247 But "facilities" is also a larger discussion: Quote Priority 1 has to be completion of the track that was moved over to the Innovation Campus with the Go B1G project. He said there's about a $9 million project that still needs finished with that track. Bids will go out soon. ... However, Dannen knows Nebraska hasn't done much with the baseball and softball facilities really since Haymarket opened. "So the idea of pitching labs and other things that go along with recruiting baseball and softball success today, we've got to get caught up there. He said this summer they'd bring some architects in to "figure out exactly what we can do while we're there, and working with NEBCO, and the partnership we have with Haymarket. Figuring out what's possible there to make sure baseball and softball has a chance to be the programs in the upper Midwest." Quote Link to comment

Maybe it's just listening to the morning guys on the radio etc, I've only sat there one time, but it seems to be a HUGE pain point. I've sat in south stadium probably 40 times, and I really don't think it's significantly worse than other sections. My least favorite place to be is north stadium honestly, seems like things bottleneck worse over there. The entire place is old and tired, so focusing on just one area isn't gonna cut it IMO. When I was in my 20s, going to games was all about nostalgia and the experience. Now that I am pushing 40, I'd much rather watch somewhere more comfortable with concession and bathroom access, plus individual seats. I don't want to pay to be crammed in with 18 other people impeding on the space I supposedly paid for. Reduce capacity and make the experience better, like professional stadiums. Otherwise I am way less inclined to go, and I don't think I'm alone. 1 Quote Link to comment
