B1G West.  Home of the worst offenses in the P5

#76 Illinois 5.56 ypp

#80 Nebraska 5.52 ypp

#81 Wisconsin 5.51 ypp

#106 Purdue 5.12 ypp

#120 Minnesota 4.92 ypp

#126 Northwestern 4.61 ypp

#128 Iowa 4.38 ypp

I still shake my head at the "NU needs to be like Iowa or Wisconsin" fans.  My god.

I am dumbfounded. Nebraska, one of the worst offenses I’ve witnessed, and we’re 2nd best in our division.

And only 0.04 ypp behind #1. Basically a 3-way tie at the 'top'.

Haha. The ‘top’

Sure, some of it is because the defenses in the West are pretty good but at 6 games roughly half of these offensive numbers were not generated against other B1G West teams. That sounds to me like it’s just damn anemic offenses.

This the last year for Divisions?  I know all teams will be thrown into one big gloopy super conference next year without them.  1-18 standings and all.

Would be amazing if Huskers could win the West this year.  It's not impossible, but possibly improbable.  Meaning, I will gladly root that they win it, but wouldn't bet money on it.

Eventually I think they will get back to 2 divisions with NU blended in the West.  9 teams but could expand more to 10 teams (if adding 2 more schools).

It's funny, because I forget this is last season for West/East Divisions.

This conference is about to get stupidly tough starting next year.  Brace yourselves.

Been braced for 20 years already

But yes, stupidly tough is putting it mildly.  Beginning next year winning the conference will be more on par with winning a natty. Gone are the Big 8/Big 12 days when the only real obstacle was Oklahoma and it will take much more than winning the B1G West by attrition and a favorable crossover schedule and then perhaps getting lucky in a CCG. tOSU, Michigan, Penn St, USC, Oregon, Washington, UCLA….Gon have to actually be good, really good, to end up top of the heap. Won’t be any simply waiting until a few other teams have a down year.

But somehow Iowa is going to manage to not face any of those teams 3 out of every 4 years.

You are totally right about Iowa.  Don't forget Wiscy either lol.  Yeah I've been bracing myself for Nebraska's schedule next year with the 4 new teams coming.
