There will be no bowl invitation this year The cost of leaving the weaker Big 12. Not as many wins, loss of Texas recruiting area, but more money in the pockets. Nebraska was a way better fit for the Big 12. 1 Quote Link to comment

We have 8 commits from Texas this year. Also 8 from Nebraska. No other state has more than two. Last year we had 6 from Texas. No state other than Nebraska had more than 3. Conference has almost nothing to do with it. It's all about where the coaches put their efforts. 4 Quote Link to comment
Packerhuskerfan
The quality of recruits doesn't seem the same as the Big 12 days. Either way, we seemed like a much better fit with the Big 12. We have never really adjusted well to the Big Ten. 1 2 Quote Link to comment

Neither is the quality of the product on the field needed to attract recruits. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Staying in the Big 12 may have resulted in a different overall makeup of this year's team, but if this year's team with its current roster and set of coaches had played a big 12 schedule, it likely would have fared even worse. 2 Quote Link to comment

Is that because we aren't in the Big 12, or is it because we're now 12 years further past anything resembling the Huskers of old? The more time goes by without a breakthrough season, the further we slip in the minds of recruits. And that has nothing to do with what conference we're in, it has to do with getting out of our own way and winning these close games. 3 1 Quote Link to comment

Crusader Husker
We are not going to a bowl. We are ranked to low in the APR If you want to go back to the Big 12 to win, let's just go to the MAC or the American Athletic? I need to take a break from the contestant whining and stupidity of this board. 5 1 1 Quote Link to comment
funhusker
Why is it when fans of other teams come here to bash the Huskers it’s called trolling. But when “fans” do it, they want to act like they are somehow more dedicated fans??? 1 1 Quote Link to comment

huskerfan74
Seriously, after Minnesota and Illinois losing, do we have any sliver of hope of getting invited to a bowl game? If we are, regardless of whether we deserve it or not, we need to accept and work our tails off in the additional practices. We really need to take advantage of every possible chance to improve. It will also be nice to see how we fair against competition outside the big ten. 1 Quote Link to comment
