Nexus
Jamal Turner recorded his 15th consecutive 100 yard rushing game last night but it wasn't enough to beat crosstown rival Arlington Bowie. Final score 49-34. JT's game stats: Passing = 15/25 (60%), 202 yds., 1 TD Rushing = 20 att., 126 yds., 6 yds./att., 4 TD JT's season stats after 5 games: Passing = 62/123 (50%), 705 yds., 3 TD, 2 INT. Rushing = 124 att., 1,024 yds., 8 yds./att., 19 TD Sam Houston (2-3, 1-1) got its offense going late in the first half, scoring on a 3-yard TD run from quarterback Jamal Turner. But, for the most part, Bowie managed to hold Turner in check. Turner entered the game with 14 consecutive 100-yard rushing games, and needed a 60-yard TD run late in the fourth quarter to make it 15 straight. "I thought our defense played really well until the middle of the third quarter," Perry said. "But Jamal Turner is a great player, and that was a great run he had at the end." LINK Link to comment

You heard it here first. How can you not have both of these players on the field at the same time. Jamal is just throwing up X-Box numbers right now. Link to comment
Nexus
Looks like Jamal Turner will be joining fellow NU commit David Santos in the O-D All-American Bowl. Congrats Mr. Turner! Earlier in the week Jamal Turner was offered a spot in the Offense-Defense all-star game in Orlando, Flor. and earlier today, after talking things through with a lot of people, he accepted the nomination to play in the game. Turner, a 2010-11 commitment to Nebraska to play quarterback, is looking forward to a national spotlight to showcase his quarterback abilities. LINK Link to comment

Apathy
3 schools that are going after Jamal Turner hard are Texas A&M, USC, and Texas Tech. USC is putting presser on Turner to come to USC because Nebraska has a redshirt freshman QB leading the Husker offense and that Turner won't get any play time. Tech wants Turner to be their starter next year but Turner is a SOLID comment to Nebraska and doesn't want anything to do with any other school. He also stated that other schools are recruiting him as a WR and that if he wanted to play another position other than QB he would do that at Nebraska Link to comment

'I'm just giddy about this guy coming here. Can't have enough great athletes on the field at once. You get him on the field with Taylor 'Swift' and Rex and you have three tremendous athletes, that all have the ability to break a huge play, or throw the ball. I don't wanna get too Boise State here, but if we're able to keep Wats, I like this future. Link to comment
PaulCrewe
Alright, Big Red Wrap-Up kind of broke down the QB commits tonight. Jamal's highlights from this season are just SICK!!! He is making cuts that you usually just see while playing videos games. Unreal rushes with not the greatest blocking from the line. The kid is a STUD. Also said in his game Friday before coming up here he went for 220 passing and 230 running or something to that effect. Has 24 rushing TD's so far. Can't wait to see this kid on the field next year. He SHOULD be on the field in some way next year. Link to comment
