girlknowsfootball Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 He will arrive on campus tomorrow. He will start classes Monday. He will redshirt this year and learn the defense. This eases my concerns at the LB position. We needed an extra body there, especially with it looking like we'll see 2-3 guys burn redshirts at that position this year... this will give us an extra guy staggered a year back, will give him some time to add good weight, and will ease our recruiting needs at that position for next year. 1 Quote Link to comment

I really like walk-on Jack Fordon as well and I'm guessing the only reason he was not on the 105 this year is because he is still getting over an injury from his senior year. Great news about Newby!
