suh_fan93
The numbers... 26/34 passing for 354 yards. 10.4 avg per pass and 5 touchdowns with ZERO interceptions. Great game by Martinez today. Maybe the extra time in the offseason worked. The throwing motion was still a little suspect but he was hitting guys left and right. Keep it up Taylor.... GBR Quote Link to comment
The Dude
10.4 avg per pass There it is. The most important stat in sports. 10.4 is off the charts. Quote Link to comment
ICT HSKR 10
Not to mention the play calling by Beck, can't decide which improvement I'm more impressed by, Martinez or Beck. Offense looked pretty darn good for the first game out of the chutes, with our bell-cow only playing 1 series. 1 Quote Link to comment
craigsker
Great performance by Martinez today. The pass to Steven Osborne was absolutely beautiful. Quote Link to comment
krc1995
It is such a great start for Tmart. Even his body language was more mature. However, mad props to the o-line. Awesome blocking- what 1 sack? Quote Link to comment
B.B. Hemingway
Great performance by Martinez today. The pass to Steven Osborne was absolutely beautiful. I was equally impressed with the TD pass to Abdullah. He dropped that ball perfectly between two defenders, the window was closing on that one fast and he put it in their just in time.... Moiraine
I don't want to start a new topic so... Our receivers played awesome too. They did a good job helping Martinez out whenever the passes weren't picture-perfect (which is what they're supposed to do). 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Great work by Martinez but also some very nice catches by the receivers - not a drop. Not every pass was perfectly placed but all but a couple were catchable and the receivers brought most of them in. Quote Link to comment

The depth is pretty incredible (Enunwa is a BEAST, did he ever get tackled).... Quote Link to comment

BIGREDIOWAN
It was great work by him..............it'll be interesting to see how he progresses throughout the season and when he gets pressured if he gets rattled and resorts back to his old ways. Great job by the offense all around, was very surprised. Quote Link to comment
lo country
I think the more games he has and keeps his current composure, the muscle memory will kick in. He looked incredibly poised today. Went through his progressions and got it to the guys in stride, on time and in a position that they could catch. The deep ball to Bell (IIRC) was thrown perfectly even though it was incomplete. It was either going to be catch by Bell or the PI it was. Beck blew me away. His play calling was spot on. How many backs/FB got carries? I think it was 6. Same with the receivers. It must have been double digits for the guys who caught passes. We put tons of stuff on film for future DC's to worry about. Didn't appear to be vanilla. Good IMO. We need the practice. A few more games like today and DC's will be stupid to stuff the box. I bagged the walk-ons last year, but they proved me wrong today ie Long, Choi and Jackson. Great job for game one. beanman
Beanman is now on board the Martinez bandwagon. I'm also really really liking Tim Beck as a playcaller. This offense has the potential to put up some great numbers this year. Quote Link to comment
