StPaulHusker
Read on texas sites they don't like their schedule that the current B12 offers (Kansas teams, Baylor, Tech etc) and the fear that the lack of CCG and weaker schedule could leave them out of the playoffs. Check out their schedule this year. http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa-13/big-12/2013-texas-longhorns-football-schedule.php About as unsexy as it gets. Not only that but they don't have any big names on the schedule besides OU and no conference champ game. Wonder why Kansas agreed to have their game televised on the LHN. Then again I wonder why Kansas agreed to have ANY game televised. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I think you underestimate the arrogance of the people in Chicago......think Texas X 100.......even Texas wouldn't have come up with Legends and Leaders Absolutely no. You want to know about the arrogance of U of Texas, ask Colorado. Ask Missouri, ask Texas A&M, ask Arkansas. You don't have to take Nebraska Fan's word for it. Those folks are ridiculous. 1 Quote Link to comment

Houston, Rice, and SMU may have something worthwhile to contribute as well. Quote Link to comment

Not only that but they don't have any big names on the schedule besides OU and no conference champ game. But they don't want a CCG. Just ask them: Bowlsby said expansion is not on the Big 12 table but said even if the Big 12 did expand, he’s not sure the league would add a championship game.“I don’t know if we got to 12 if we would necessarily implement a conference championship game,” Bowlsby said. With the new playoff format coming in 2014, with four teams, “We really like our path to the national championship playoffs, playing a full round robin. It brings real value to the regular season. We’ve all seen instances where a team lost in the conference championship game and eliminated their opportunity to play in the national championship game.” Quote Link to comment

VectorVictor
Thought this might be interesting to post with regard to expansion. http://frankthetank.me/ Thanks Nic. Frank pretty much spells out what a bunch of us here have said for a while--that challenging a GoR would be expensive and labor intensive. Perfect for a school like Texass that has copious amounts of dirty oil money to throw down this particular hole. Quote Link to comment
Creed
Read on texas shaggy site (was there for the Manziel humor) in their expansion thread that a blogger tweeted: @MHver3 1h Last thing tonight: Crazy Rumor of the night! PSU didn't get booted from B10 for their crimes against humanity but might another school(1) Quote Link to comment

Creed
More discussion recently on Texas site shaggybevo about B10 expansion rumors. This time Texas and GT to B10 - apparently this was disclosed to Oliver Luck when he was approached for Texas AD job. Others were OU/Kansas to B1G. Quote Link to comment
WoodyHayes1951
This whole Maryland to the Big Ten settlement should have been done ages ago. Why its not done? the ACC knows once Maryland leaves that could open the floodgates. This whole GoR is not what they say it is or they would have finished this business. Quote Link to comment

Texas has what? 10 year contract with LHN/ESPN that they can not/will not dump. No way B1G lets them in with that thing. Quote Link to comment
