lo country
Just a consolation, but that Smith kid from Wyoming is good, I know that doesn't make you guys feel better, but he is a baller, it takes a team to stop a dude like that. Lots of teams have stopped him, though. He had a career night at our house. Maybe this kid just turned the lights fully on tonight. Maybe he's going to have a stellar career from here on out. Nothing we've seen from him the last two years said he could do this, not at home, on the road, or against even the worst teams he's faced. To this point in his career he's never thrown for remotely this many yards against a Big Six school. Amazing. This is becoming a given under Bo. Folks putting up XBox numbers when they play us. Completely unacceptable. 1 Quote Link to comment
walksalone
We just gave up 602 yards of offense to WYOMING. This is bad. This is not good, this is bad. This is really bad. Beyond really, bad... Like really, really, really, really, really, really, having an umbrella shoved up your @ss then opened bad... 1 Quote Link to comment
swmohusker
This was like ball state all over again. Sheesh! Hope we get things fixed. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
Husker Harry put the pipe down and quit drinking the koolaide Bo is not the coach that will bring us to the promised land You sound rediculous. Take a step back off the ledge my friend. Mmm this koolaide is good. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
Thats what happens when you're young. We have to grow up a lot in two weeks to be ready for UCLA. No. This is not about being young. This comes down to coaching, technique and defensive playcalling. Can certainly agree that there is a lot of growing up to do though. Hope it happens...if not, we're going to be getting throttled by UCLA, Northwestern, Michigan State and Michigan. If tonight was an indication of the season, Pelini might be gone at the end. 9 wins is great, BUT the blow outs and inability to stop teams is compelete BS It's going to take an act of God for Pelini to get canned this year. Even if we went 6-6, I doubt he would lose his job. JP on the other hand...he should be worried. He's been the DC of some really sh**ty defenses. Keep BO. The program is clean, and he has calmed down on the sideline. Let Bo know that there will be defensive staff changes, and Bo will not be doing the hiring. This is a tough thing to do, but the performance of the D warrants drastic actions. I say do it now. Why suffer through a terrible season? There must be a retired NFL D-coordinator available for a couple million $. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Fire Bo's fish tank cleaner. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
Terrible defensive scheme all night with no adjustments. It's the same scheme we've seen for years. It's the same scheme OC's around the country have been slobering to have a chance it. CHANGE SOMETHING BO! It's not about the the lack of athletes. I fell for it. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, I know i was just trying to help guys feel a little better, i knew from watching that game huskerboard was about to go into melt down mode. Quote Link to comment
Ric Flair
I don't think Papuchis is the problem. It's Bo's defense. These are all guys Bo recruited and developed. Bo hired and developed Papuchis. So there are no excuses left. Quote Link to comment
I am I
is that why we have the QB graveyard? he was a BALLER they outschemed us a bit here and there. we are faster, stronger, and better than last year. nothing is ever as bad or as good as it seems. i think we did really good. the late game sucked azz for sure, but there were a lot of positives Quote Link to comment
GBRrodney
Total buzz kill. Nebraska looked ill prepared, with the typical mental errors on the O-line and coaches. There was some positive stuff especially Newby and Bell, but good grief. Letting this team back into the game was a joke. I need a pill. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
Well now that those first game jitters are gone... Quote Link to comment
clyde40
This is a bad football team (NE), I have been a supporter of Bo but I am done he will be gone this year we will be lucky to win 6 games this year! You probably said the same thing last year after UCLA and still bi*ched after the 14 pt. loss to Georgia. Quote Link to comment

Need to get to let the play makers make plays instead of trying to scheme so much Quote Link to comment
skersfan
Clyde, after watching this game are you proud of the Georgia game, or do you realize, we were a Washington to them. They could have cared less about Nebraska. We gave up 600 yards to them, and now with what is supposed to be heavily upgraded defense, we give up 600 to Wyoming. There are problems, that need to be fixed. I do not know how to do that, but things need to improve. This team, this program should not be giving up 600 yards in three straight games. Talent, coaching, adjustments and having the knowledge of the game, IE Cross running out of bounds. Basics are missing. Bo needs help period. We have watched this defense go down hill since Clownahans talent left. Be it in recruiting or coordinators something has to change and quickly. Quote Link to comment
