desertshox
@RobinWashut New #Nebrasketball commit Keanu Pinder had been in 2014 class, but will likely have to take a post-grad year and reclassify to 2015. Maybe I'm not familiar enough with the process. Is this because of him (academic issues?) or us (scholarship limits)? Acedemic issues. Australian school is different than American school. He has to retake some classes and get caught up for him to take the SAT/ACT, so he was going to need an additional high school year to be able to get that done before college. This is not bad for us though because he can use that time to hit the weights and get use to the American physical style of play. Is he coming to the US for this year of school? If not, how would he get used to the American physical style of play? Can he play during this extra year? yes he can play during that extra year. sunrise has a post grad team that plays against other prep schools and jucos. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, will stay at the same school in their post-grad program and play another year there. Apparently we didn't offer him at first because of all the work he had to do to be eligible for the 2014 class. Now that he is going to take another year to get everything in order, we offered and he obviously committed. Quote Link to comment
desertshox
sunrise is a good school to get an in with. they are working on bringing higher quality basketball players and from what i have seen their credits actually apply to getting into college. think this year's team will have 4-7 d-1 caliber players on it. (i might be mixing up last year's class and putting them with this year's team.) Quote Link to comment

So he will have this year and next year at that American school before coming to Nebraska. Two years in their weight program and playing the American physical style of basketball will help him tremendously. He is also still growing so he could easily be taller than 6'8" by the time he gets to NU. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
Sounds like this kid could be a diamond in the rough. Some fine tuning this year and next might be just what he needs to contribute early. Any Husker fan should love the direction of the program under TM. Quote Link to comment
