Norhusker
I stayed up to watch this game. Will regret it since I have to get up very early. Still, it was very competitive. Rutgers look pretty tough. I think they will give us a good match. Washington St. is no FCS pushover. Nice to see the Big Ten start out on a positive note. Quote Link to comment
admo
Nice debut for the new B1G member! On paper though, They're still Rutgers Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Washington St. is no FCS pushover. There are FCS teams that would likely push them over, however. 1 Quote Link to comment
Bigred_inSD
WSU is more of a team to get locked in a closet then be pushed over 2 Quote Link to comment
Creed
WSU made some great improvements last year under Leach. They were a joke before him. I think they made a bowl last year FWIW. Quote Link to comment

NUinID
A typical Leach team, great passing game that will score a lot of points. Poor defense that will give up a lot of points. Rutgers looks to be ok, nothing spectacular though. The big thing to worry about would be NU taking them lightly. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
I defend Rutgers as not being all that bad. Not great, but theyre no Purdue/Illinois. With that said, if we struggle with them in any way, that's an indictment on Nebraska, not a credit to Rutgers. We damn well better handle em either way. 1 Quote Link to comment

Redux
Rutgers? More like BOREAPHYLL! 1 Quote Link to comment
RyouN?
Their secondary, lack of depth, and their qb getting shaken with any pressure, will keep them from being all that good. Their strength is obviously running the ball, got a couple good looking backs. They have a physical style of play which will fit right in with the B1G, but with obvious depth issues, you got to wonder how long they'll be able to keep it up. The game against Penn State in 2 weeks, should be a good one I think. Quote Link to comment
deedsker
They are a solid average team. I don't see any problems with being able to beat them by a couple touchdowns. Fix ourselves and we will be fine. Quote Link to comment

Redux
Penn State and Rutgers should become a pretty good yearly contest. True rivalry potential. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Rutgers beat Arkansas last year. But they also lost to Connecticut. Quote Link to comment
