Sparker
The best guys on ESPN are Jesse Palmer, and David Pollack. Kinda like Matt Millen too. Whatever happened to Craig James? I always liked him too. David Pollack rubs me the wrong way, figuratively of course. He's never actually rubbed me... anywhooo, he looks like a kid who is telling a lie and just keeps yelling the lie and making crazy faces and yelling louder to make the lie seem believable. I like Pollack. He knows as much about football as anyone. He doesn't make up stuff to sound important. He was all-American three straight years at Georgia, won the Bednarik, Lombardi, Hendricks awards, and was a 1st round draft pick. He sprained his knee is rookie year, then broke a vertebrae in his second season and wore a halo for several months. He had a bright future as an NFL player. He survived all that and wisely called it quits. So I tend to root for the guy and like what he has to say. Hmmm, never knew any of that. To be clear I tend to agree with him, I just don't like his delivery. Quote Link to comment
admo
I hear ya sparker. It can be uncomfortable for many people in front of the bright lights of camera initially, especially with a mic instead of a football. For some it takes awhile. For others like Emmit Smith, well.... Quote Link to comment
Landlord
The best guys on ESPN are Jesse Palmer, and David Pollack. Kinda like Matt Millen too. Whatever happened to Craig James? I always liked him too. Craig James quit broadcasting to run for US Senate in Texas. He lost big in the primary. I actually thought he was a crappy broadcaster. He didn't quit, he was fired because he's a homophobe. Nessler, Herbstreit, Fowler and Gus Johnson are the only guys that I enjoy enough to give a positive grade. Everyone else I'm indifferent towards at best. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
My problem with Jesse Palmer is he always has to have that damn pen in his hand when he's talking, other than that I think he does a good job, I actually like Herbstreit too. I can't stand Desmond Howard and my most hated broadcast person....................Ed Cunningham. 1 Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Jesse Palmer is dreamy! I usually don't know what he's saying, too distracted. I get lost in his eyes. Quote Link to comment

Dagerow
They all suck. About 10-15 years they learned that abrasive personalities resulted in higher ratings. They have modified this a little but they still suck. It hard to imagine that anyone could make me not want to watch something about college football, but somehow they seem to do it. Lou Holtz said one thing I respect him for that I can remember. When Osborne's team beat Lou's Minnesota Gopher team by 70 some points, they interviewed Holtz afterwards. One reporter asked Lou if he was upset the Osborne had run up the score. Lou's response was to the effect "Listen...it's not Tom's job to keep his team from scoring, it's ours!" Aside from that, he is getting more senile by the moment. Quote Link to comment
