Question: Do You Want Iowa to Stomp Us?

Recommended Posts

As long as Bo is our coach I want him and the team to win every game.

If Bo is still the coach next year, I will root for the team to WIN...EVERY....DAMN....GAME.

I hope Bo is still the coach in 20 years assuming SE sets a solid, respectable standard. This would mean that he figured it out and is getting it done.

That's what fans do

What in the world does this mean? Will the freakin madness never stop?

reading is hard.....

Respectable standard is the deal, is that 9win thingee your idea of respectable? I am guessing it is.

You're wrong a lot....

Quite frankly not to often.Check my posts and then tell me that

It doesn't matter who the coach is, I want to see the Huskers win EVERY DAMN GAME THEY PLAY

Does wanting to see the Huskers win every game conflict with your support for the current coach? Because in this case, it obviously matters who the coach is...because Bo can't do.

Wanting to see the Huskers win every game is much different than seeing them not win every game.

I want them to win every time, but I also recognize that Pelini got us only so far and the reality is there is nothing left this year that says next year will be any different.

If Bos job is on the line for this game then our AD needs fired as well. Beating Iowa means nothing in the big picture of things.

This^. As I said before, the decision to keep or fire has already been made. Now when the fans know is up for debate as is when/if Bo gets fired.

Yeah I agree. They have been doing their homework for quite some time and have also continued to do research to know what decisions are best going forward. The sooner we make a decision the better the chance of saving the recruiting class that is full of studs.

This makes a lot of sense to me. I think Bo came close to the chopping block last year with the audio tape and the meltdowns culminating with his tirade after the Iowa game. An intelligent AD who has a law background like SE would have developed a strategy for this year in case Bo fell short of expectations. I'm still not convinced a decision has been made yet though. If memory serves, T.O. gave Callahan some requirements he would need to meet in order to save his job right after Peterson left. I think it was dependent on winning out his last few games. Again I'm not 100% sure on this. That being said I would not be surprised if a list of expectations was also given to Bo. Reigning in his temper would be one. Wins and quality losses might be another. I guess what I'm trying to say is that a loss in the Iowa game might be a factor in the final decision.

Nobody going to answer Post #73?

I prefer whatever minimum outcome forces major change. If he can beat Iowa and still get fired, we go w/ that. But if I had to choose between a single loss to Iowa, or another year of blowouts (which is what I equate the continuation of his employment to mean) and a constant grind over the next 10 months to extract some optimism for the season ahead - then I'm going w/ a loss at the end of an already disappointing season which provides the fanbase and Husker nation hope for the future.

No, I don't.... as one who does not wish to see Pelini retained I certainly feel conflicted, but in the end, nobody here really knows what Eichorst will do.

I'm still going to pull for the team to win. I'm not sure this game is make or break. If we rooted hard for Nebraska to lose these next two games and Bo was kept anyway, we'd all look pretty stupid.

So I'm going to watch the game in a vacuum and worry about the "big picture" stuff when it's over.

Honestly, I don't think Eichorst has the stones to fire him even if they do lose out.

The decision to keep or let Bo go has already been made. You don't make a multi million dollar decision on the outcome of one game. I know nothing of SE, but to be in his position, I would think him to be an intelligent man. The process of a new coach, IMO, began last year to have a plan B if plan A (win the B1G) didn't work out......

I have never cheered against NU and won't. I want the team to win and win big to get a later bowl game in hopes of more reps for the kids and as a spring board to winning the bowl and getting 10 wins. Also send the seniors out with a win instead of 3 losses in a row.......

Again, win or loss, Bo's fate IMO is already sealed......

What are you physic? how do you know a FINAL decision has been made, It might be contingent on making the almighty 9!!! win mark, so in that case the Iowa outcome just might have a bearing

It's not physic, it's psychic. Just saying.....

Mark me for the "it doesn't matter what happens at Iowa City" camp.

I think Bo is going to be staying here.

The only way I look at that and think that's OK is that we have a couple of beasts coming in at DT. You can never have too many play makers at DT.

Bring in the DTs, upgrade the LBs and maybe the defense will start rolling 2009-10 style.

The offense won't run anybody off the field next year, but it is more than capable of scoring. Remember back in those games were Lee was QB. Heck, if we score a touchdown in some of those games, one touchdown, we win.
