Red Five
On Friday, San Juan Hills looked like it is ready for the best of South Coast League football, which would be their league rivals Mission Viejo and Tesoro. The Stallions walloped one of the elite programs in Orange County, Los Alamitos, 54-26, in a nonleague game at San Juan Hills. “We wanted to show Orange County what we can do,” San Juan Hills senior quarterback Patrick O’Brien said. That score is going to impress many who wonder just how good San Juan Hills really is. The Stallions opened with a surprising, to many, win over San Clemente and rolled from there. Ranked No. 10 in the county, and in the county top 10 for the first time in school football history, San Juan Hills is 4-0. Los Alamitos (2-2) is No. 8 in the county top 10. In ways, the game was not as close as the 28-point margin. San Juan Hills scored touchdowns on its first three possessions and on seven of its first eight possessions. O’Brien threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score. He completed 20 of 26 passes for 313 yards with no interceptions. Los Alamitos coach John Barnes knows about quarterbacks, having mentored many All-County selections in his long career. His assessment of O’Brien: “He doesn’t miss a pass. He has a great release, and he’s a big, strong guy. He wasn’t anything like that last year.” http://www.ocvarsity.com/articles/juan-80231-san-hills.html Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Do we have his cumulative season stats somewhere or do I need to do research and math? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I believe it's 106/132 (80.3%) for 1,390 yards, 17 TDs and 2 INTs in five games. Not sure what his rushing stats were for the last game but he had 30 carries for 228 yards and 5 TDs in the first four. 1 Quote Link to comment

EDIT: I just watched his mid-year highlights on HUDL. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2536518/highlights/285921474/v2 I was surprised at the amount of deep passes and accuracy that POB showed in those highlights. Looks like a good get. Quote Link to comment

Mavric
19/26 for 346 yards passing and 3 TDs last night. Also added a rushing TD - not sure how many rushing yards. That's going to kill his completion percentage.... Quote Link to comment

Also added a rushing TD - not sure how many rushing yards That's going to kill his completion percentage.... If maxpreps is right he is up to 305 rushing yards. So if he was at 228 after 4 games, he ran for 77 yards last game. Quote Link to comment

Moiraine
He's staring down his receiver. I looked at the photo for 10 seconds and he never took his eyes off him. 2 Quote Link to comment
