BIG ERN
I'm sure most people saw the article, but Combs was a complete scum bag. http://journalstar.com/news/local/911/police-memorial-stadium-announcer-stole-thousands-from-elderly-women/article_04e02a85-0d09-5fb7-b185-2aeee342593d.html Quote Link to comment
Lux
A good hire, really? I was hoping they would get someone like good ol' JR http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dTg2gUOAa6o Although, he is a deeply rooted Sooners fan. Quote Link to comment
Tomhusker64
My son was a little disappointed, but he's still young enough that he can go after it the next time it's open too. Being one of the seven asked to demo was pretty friggin'cool, tho. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
This just got weird. Schuetz removed from Husker announcing jobLINCOLN, Neb. —Jon Schuetz, the man hired Monday to be the public address announcer at Nebraska football games this fall, says he will not get the job after all.Schuetz says the University of Nebraska contacted him about a social media post Schuetz made months ago in the wake of the firing of former head football coach Bo Pelini. The post, now taken down, reportedly was critical of the University's actions against Pelini. Get ready for the brown storm. Schuetz is a pretty well-liked guy. I doubt this is going to go over well. Quote Link to comment

teachercd
Ha! Like I said the other day...sensitive america! SE or whoever was in charge of this looks like a moron...not because they didn't check it but because they actually cared what it said. Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
So now your son has a chance again!!! Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Let's all pull for Tom's son. Grassroots wire-in campaign?! Ha. Hope this doesn't gain too much traction nationally. Embarrassing, petty move for the University. Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
Another lesson for folks that use social media, what you put out there can come back to haunt you. 3 Quote Link to comment

NebraskaShellback
http://www.ketv.com/news/schuetz-removed-from-husker-announcing-job/35043528 Knapp link did not work. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
It would be interesting to see what he posted. However, as someone hiring someone??? If it were simply critical of firing Bo..etc, that's just giving an opinion that a lot of people had. However, I've looked at Facebook and not hired certain people because of what they have posted. That is simply the way things work nowadays. Think about that next time you post things. What makes this weird is that he was hired then let go from something that was posted before he was originally hired for this job. Quote Link to comment
Red Five
Yeah, calling the head of your new company a disgrace in pubic will probably do it. Quote Link to comment
