GOAT
I honestly won't be too excited if we're 5-7 and go to a bowl. On the other hand, I'll be overjoyed if we're 6-6 and go to a bowl, because it'll mean we have beaten two undefeated Top 10 teams, and it'll be a glimmer of hope we need going into next season. If it's in Fort Worth, I think I'll make the drive from Louisiana. 1 Quote Link to comment
redout22
Bama or nothing! jk I will be happy with any bowl game as well. Quote Link to comment
Tomhusker64
I don't care what our record is, we need a bowl game. As far as being a "punching bag," who cares? We've been taking jabs all season. Let the haters hate. 2 Quote Link to comment
QMany
Foster Farms Bowl: Nebraska vs Oregon - Dec 26 - Santa Clara, CA http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/11/8/9691220/bowl-game-projections-2015-ncaa-football-playoff That would be interesting! Riley v. his old big brother, Frost, and a preview to 2017-2018 matchups. Quote Link to comment
Red Five
I'd take a bowl at 5-7. Watching 13 husker games in a season is greater than watching 12 husker games in a season IMO. 4 Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Playing Oregon in a bowl game would be hilarious. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
I would take it strictly for more practice time! Imagine if the Huskers do find a way to win out...the momentum will be there for the fan base to travel. We could get picked to a better bowl than Armed Forces based on the fan base! NWHuskerfan
Yeah good luck with that one!!! Oregon will go to a higher bowl than that projection. Frost has them rolling and they've healed up. Just hung a school record 777 yards of offense on Cal last weekend. They would destroy Nebraska. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
The extra practice time is not something I care about at all...But like someone else said 13 games is better than 12. One more chance to hang out with friends for a Husker game. Quote Link to comment

Husker67
espn Quick Lane BowlFord Field, Detroit Mon., Dec. 28, 5 p.m. (ESPN2) Schlabach: NC State vs. Indiana McMurphy: Virginia Tech vs. Nebraska Detroit? How did Detroit get a bowl game? Isn't that like having to play the World Cup in Qatar? I guess that's your punishment for finishing 5-7, you are sent to Detroit over the holidays to think about how the err of your ways. Detroit's hosted two Super Bowls, and I think two Final Four's. It's certainly a worthy host for a possible 5-7 team, 6-6 we hope Quote Link to comment
