beorach
I don't know that I've seen anyone mention how bad a couple of halves against UCLA were under Bo. There's getting run by a team with better talent a la OSU...and then there's looking absolutely inept as a team when you've been coached for years by the same guy against a team whose coach just came on the scene. 2 Quote Link to comment
QMany
Riley's big embarassing loss is to Purdue on the road with a "backup" QB. Sorry but he hasn't even sniffed Bo's sh#t show of losses yet In Pelini's first year, he had embarrassing losses to #4 Missouri and #4 Oklahoma. Riley certainly sniff's those sh#t shows with Purdue and Illinois... 1 Quote Link to comment

QMany
How does Nebraska respond after this season? That is what I'm looking forward to. I agree! I hope they have turned the corner and we continue to improve moving forward. I'm cautiously optimistic that the staff and players will continue to learn and won't regress. Quote Link to comment

Wait a second...this isn't fair...Everyone says the Purdue blowout was not really that bad because of all the turnovers...so wouldn't that be the same for ISU?  Look...We hired Riley NOT to have crappy losses like Bo Poloser...We hired Riley to fix those problems and to be a smarter coach with smarter game plans. Quote Link to comment

Who is saying turnovers make that loss acceptable? It wasn't acceptable, neither were. Purdue should never beat us by scoring 50 and Iowa State should never beat us by only scoring 9.  Purdue became palatable because we actually responded to it and finished the year off stronger than we thought we would by beating a playoff team. Redux
Well yeah, turnovers tend to swing a game in the opponents favor. Turnovers don't make a loss acceptable. Â Fact of the matter is we played a team on the road who had nothing to lose, we were banged up all over and most importantly our backup QB managed 40+pts despite turning it over like 100 times. The defense needed to step up on those turnovers and they didn't. It was a big wake up call and they learned from it. Nobody learned sh#t from the ISU 09 loss. Quote Link to comment

Well actually.... we changed our "offensive philosophy" after that game, and rode our defense and special teams to almost* winning a conference title. Â But both losses sucked (although Purdue was a much worse team). Â Â *f#*k Texas. 1 Quote Link to comment

KazLong
I think this trend should continue for the rest of the Husker legacy comparing the 2313 team to the 2014 team as an extra gotcha to Bo or adversely a compliment to that is the pinnacle of Husker teams? Quote Link to comment
dvdcrr
the highlight of the season?.......we didn't lose by more than 10 points to anyone............wowIn a match race does it matter by how much you got 2nd? You still lost! Moral victories for close losses: I find no solace. Quote Link to comment

It kind of feels like a merry-go-round doesn't it? The off season is hard, and many topics and conversations just recycle themselves. Even long term the conversations all seem to come full circle over the years. The topics are all similar, but with some additional new members now discussing the current team and players.
