Sargon
Tommy had a great last drive. He plays like that and the huskers will have a good year. Kinda whacky game isn't it? Quote Link to comment

lo country
I just wish we would play a lot more bump and run with the DB's.. Too much cushion. Quote Link to comment

The Dude
Hell of a good start. Everything started to unravel after DPE's fumbled jet sweep exchange. That "kick in the nuts" single play that seems to plague us. A lack of mental toughness.... Every recent loss seems predicated on that "one play" we couldn't mentally recover from. Ok well dpl hasn't played in over a year... and second, you proplr should chill out, it is the first half of the season. We have new faces on both sides of the line. Our running gsme looks good and the coached are determined to run the ball. Just calm down. Look at TCU tied with South Dakota state at the half...Calmer than you are. Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Rush three and play soft coverage. Are we just asking them to get first downs? Quote Link to comment
lo country
Way to soft in coverage. Need to tighten up on the line IMO. Quote Link to comment
Norhusker
LOL! Their QB tackled himself. Quote Link to comment

HuskerPowerVA
Please remember the first game is tough because teams typically change more year to year in college (personnel wise) than in the NFL. Once the season is a few weeks old coaches can prepare better for an opponent. It is not uncommon to see teams struggle more in Week 1 than the rest of the year. and the flip side is that Fresno St has an entirely new coaching staff Yes, they do. Both teams are making some early mistakes. So did LSU, NW, Tenn, etc. Also remember that practice can never replicate the speed, intensity and violence of game play. Without a pre-season, the first game is hard. Anyone who has played above the high school level quietly is concerned how it will all work when you actually are running out there when it counts.
