CheeseHusker
Special teams is still terrible. Officiating is still terrible. For all the warts, the mental toughness of this team is impressive. 8-2 is alright. Quote Link to comment
huskered17
I don't know what was more stressful last year or this year. Of course, I'll take this year's results over last year. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I continue to be proud of my Husker team but especially so of the seniors and their leadership. TA, Gerry. Bando, Kevin M, and others. Playing through major disappointments early and injuries later in the year. They bring it every week. Quote Link to comment

cornstar
We have heart. So much drive and will to succeed. Our guys might make mistakes, but It's clear our coaches correct things. We are a 4th Q team for the previously mentioned, plus our drive to be more. Sam. It's for him. Every game. I really appreciate it how we keep dedicating our games, effort, etc. to Sam Foltz, RIP, but would it be inappropriate here for me to ask if maybe, just maybe, we could ask Caleb Lightbourn to perhaps re-dedicate himself to punting the rest of the season 'for Sam' in the manner in which Sam would have done were he still here? Gee whiz! I realize Caleb was recruited to place kick and not as a punter but this guy is gonna lead the nation as the 'worst' punter ? A negative 3 yard punt, a couple blocked and a bunch more shanks and etc. I know he is capable of kicking 42 yards and he has that chip and roll -rugby style in his arsenel. I also realize that Caleb is punting under extreme duress as blocking has been poor or worse often all year. If Drew Brown were not having a superb season, our special teams would be 'bottom ten' at best. They are putrid most of the time. Lightborn was not recruited as a place kicker. But I mostly agree with the rest of your post. Quote Link to comment
NoLongerN
I had us losing Wisky and OSU ... then having a home lose against Minny as I projected our win/loss for the year. Pleased to see the team strong enough to pull this out. At least we are winning the games we can. I was hopeful for this but didn't believe this. Quote Link to comment
Lifelong Husker
It should be the last ditty for Fo Fiddy. 2 Quote Link to comment
krc1995
Was at the game. The replay I saw, it didn't seem like much of a penalty on Cethan, seemed like an acting job on a touchy call and the official overreacted. Or am I wrong? Yea I thought it was a ticky tacky call as well, but in that situation why would you think about pushing someone. Even any light shove could be called for a penalty, so he needed to be smarter than that. I will say it kept Minny in the game and I think the ref should have gave him a talking to rather than throwing the flag in a late game situation. The dude straddle Newby to get up when he coulda just.got up to the side. He didn't need to do thay. I can see why Cethan wanted to push him off. He's protecting his guy.Doesn't this happen at the end of every play? Why was this one called I'll never know. It's time to bring feathers and let the boys have a good old fashioned tickle fight. Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Cav is quickly approaching Bruce Read levels in my eyes. Some of the worst offensive line play I have ever seen. Quote Link to comment
lo country
Cav is quickly approaching Bruce Read levels in my eyes. Some of the worst offensive line play I have ever seen. No depth. Utter (and others) getting beat like he stole something. I would agree......... Next man up mentality only works if one attempts to develop and prepare the next man.... Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
I learned that it took one of our best team efforts and a pretty well called offensive game to beat Minnesota by 7. Tommy, Newby, Westy. Banderas, DPE, all played extremely well. Probably some others too. Another shout out to Tommy, the guy is tough as nails. Hope his hammy heals quickly cuz we are screwed without him. The offensive line seemed to do a better job overall. Think that maybe Foster and Conrad made a difference. We've got to improve at 3rd down defense and get the other teams offense off the field. Fo Fiddy should've been fired on the spot on Minnesota's first drive. Well, he should've been let go long before that but it would've been another good opportunity to yank his headset. It's not so much the waste of money as it is the wasted coaching position and detriment to our team on the field. 3 Quote Link to comment
theknife
Cav is quickly approaching Bruce Read levels in my eyes. Some of the worst offensive line play I have ever seen. It feels like we rolled the dice and redshirted all of the Oline class this year. The jury is still out in my mind. If the redshirt sophmores and redshirt freshmen aren't in a position of being serviceable next year on the 2 deep then I will agree. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Props to Langs for bringing back all the easy throws for TA. No idea where they'd been the last five games. Only a couple downfield shots - I'd be OK with a couple more - but I thought they were at good times. The rest were mostly short passes and stationary targets. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Unfortunately it's still a bit of Good Langs/Bad Langs. Only two carries for RBs in the first half. 15 in the second half. I don't have to tell you which worked out better. Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
In Langs defense I think we were committed to making short horizontal throws our outside runs game to loosen them up in the first half. TA also did alot of damage on the ground to kind of mix up our run game from what we've been seeing the last few weeks Quote Link to comment
