Trump Legal Troubles

Anyone else starting to think Trump will be getting jail time?  I mean...the jury is going to find him guilty.

Seems like everything is pointing towards that. His “only the best “ lawyers don’t seem up to the challenge of overcoming the mounting evidence against Trump. Unless there is a hidden Trump fan in the jury that leads to a hung jury I don’t see how this jury can not convict. Not sure what the jail time can be in this case but Trump hasn’t gained any favors with the judge and has shown no signs of being remorseful for his behavior.

The most likely scenario is Trump spending a day behind bars for contempt of court, which will, of course, boost his fundraising.

He will not go to prison for any of his trials, just as the fines he's been paying haven't come out of his own pocket.

One of Trump's suspicions is probably accurate: the prosecutors will be content to prevent him from becoming President again, and will trade that for actual jail time.

Yeah so….just to clarify.

If the leader of the law and order party is thrown in jail because he breaks the law, he gains support from the base of the law and order party…..meanwhile, they are upset because they think he’s being thrown in jail by the party they claim is soft on crime.

From the article….

Cannon's office told Newsweek that the two trips are likely listed on the U.S government's federal judge disclosure website. The court clerk stated in an email to Newsweek that "there are two trips listed for Judge Cannon. These are likely the trips you are referring to. You can find them here" with a link to the U.S government's website.

The links show that the seminars were funded by the George Mason University Foundation.

More like the leader of the law and order party is thrown in jail because it's a witch hunt, and the base of the law and order party do not recognize liberal judges and prosecutors as being legitimate members of our legal system. Liberals are still soft on crime because they'd rather jail their political opponents than prosecute shoplifters.

Once you've cast Donald Trump as the victim it all falls into place.

See, this is what I was thinking too.

If one was into conspiracy theories what you just described is pretty much spot on and would give the conspiracy dorks a massive erection.

Duh.

Cue the usual suspects whining about how unfairly prosecuted this allegedly fully grown adult man is because he's given unlimited deference for not following rules that would wind the rest of us behind bars.

Trumpism is truly a social experiment at this point.

An apparent slip by Trump counsel as he elicits from McConney that Weisselberg told him the money was for some sort of reimbursement. Remember: that is the DA's position, and that the paperwork disguised it as legal fees. And Trump wants to say it was really legal fees and not a reimbursement.

Maybe deliberate?

They saw they were losing, the defense makes a deliberate mistake, now Trump can say his counsel was incompetent and attempt to get a new trial, kicking the can down the road?

IDK if that gives him a possible out or not :dunno

He chooses only the best as we all know, so I doubt that track works.
