Nebfanatic
Is the narrative on Fox beginning to change? This is the second pro-mueller article I've seen this weekend from Fox. To be fair the first was an opinion piece penned by Tom Perez, but the fact they promoted it at all is interesting to me. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/nadler-says-there-is-plenty-of-evidence-of-obstruction-in-mueller-report-believes-don-jr-should-have-been-charged.amp Link to comment

I'm sure it will also be garbage propaganda and I won't watch it. I'm incredibly uncomfortable with these extremely wealthy media moguls creating de-facto monopolies on a lot of our media that they can use to influence political thought. It really, really creeps me out, and the brainwashing effect Fox among others have corrupts our politics, IMO. It's not so much that I want to police thought. It's that I'm really bothered by small groups of people like the Murdochs installing their chosen narratives on the masses. 4 Link to comment

It's not merely thought being portrayed as news but lies that are what's really bothersome. But opinion shows/articles shouldn't be presented as news either. It should be clear what they are. It's hard to prove, but if it can be proven someone is knowingly lying to the public while calling it news and working as a journalist, it should be illegal. https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/broadcasting-false-information Broadcasting false content during news programming The FCC is prohibited by law from engaging in censorship or infringing on First Amendment rights of the press. Danny Bateman
I've heard some speak of reinstating the Fairness Doctrine to cut down on some of the biased junk we hear but I'm not sure how that would work. 1 Link to comment

I understand they are not to be trusted but this switch is interesting to me considering I was seeing nothing like this on Fox prior to the reports release. Obviously they want ratings, but I feel as if they know the 'no collusion no obstruction' rap will hurt those ratings. Link to comment
