OC/OL at Michigan. Knows the league, knows how to recruit etc. If you are wanting an up and comer thst you dont have to oay stupid $$ to get he would be a good option. Dark horse candidate...I'll echo what someone else posted...Joe Moglia from Coastal Carolina. Great guy by all accounts. Great job growing that program. Deginately overqualified as a manager/administrator. Will work for free...freeing up $Millions to hire THE BEST coordinators and S&C staff money can buy. No thank you to either of these 2 choices. Michigan has a very average offense and Moglia is 68. So pretty much 2 of the knocks on Riley can be used for these guys. Quote Link to comment

Probably do and will. Just reading that Bo gets $128, 009.00 till 2019 and Riley would get $ 170,000.00 till 2021. That's per month for these two. We better hope the next coach is a homerun. GBR!!! . That should have been the first red flag. We need to dig into the pocket book and get a big name coach and quit pissing around Sorry, forgot to fly the Sarcasm flag... Quote Link to comment

If not those two than Justin Fuentes. He was my number two choice in 2014, but at the time had only had one winning season at Memphis. Makes 3.2 million and has a six million dollar buyout, but that drops to 3 million in 2018, doubt we wait that long to hire him. It would take 11 million to get him, 6 mil for buyout and 5 million dollar contract here. Dude will not let us down, took an ELITE Clemson team to the wire and is on the rise. The Big west is an easier division than the ACC and he can easily turn it around in 2018.If he gets 9-3 or higher with that schedule that would be impressive. I get what you're saying but the other piece of the puzzle no one talks about when offering coaches more money to come to Nebraska is that the other university gets the opportunity to match or exceed it. See: Nutt, Houston and Bielema, Brett 1 Quote Link to comment

I just am in the habit of calling him fuentes and did not even notice it. Yes it is Fuente and yes I would want him here. @StPaulHusker I think that they may not want to match cause Bud Foster could come in and take over the program. We can definitely outspend them for Fuente, but they may keep betting on him just so we have to pay him in the 7 million range. Quote Link to comment

Is it his 60% winning percentage at Miss. State? Is it the fact that his recruiting classes typically rank in the top 25, yet his team rarely ever finishes the season ranked in the top 25? Is it the fact that he made SEC history last year as the first ever SEC coach to win a bowl game yet finish with a losing record? You are not the first to bring him up, but I fail to see why we need him. The SEC isn't what it used to be. Last year in his eighth season, he posted almost his worst record. Last year, the SEC was not as tough as the B1G or the ACC. He's only had one year where he's won over 50% of his conference games. I don't want to hear how he came into Mississippi State after they had a 4-8 year the year before either because we might be lucky to be 4-8 this year. 1 Quote Link to comment
