Sexism - It's a Real Thing

That is a total dodge, and the tone in which she said it was worse. Moreover, generalizing all men in a statement like that is over the top no matter what her beef has been with men in the past.

How is it a dodge? It isn't sexist to ask men to listen to women about something. She said it in an a**holish way. Is that the part I was supposed to address?

The men I've seen talking about it so far have mostly been saying the types of things that give good reason for her comments.

I will say this type of rhetoric will get her nowhere, so it was stupid. I don't think it's sexist to ask men to stop talking about their male victimhood in general when it comes to this topic and listen, which is what I've seen a lot of, including from Trump.

How about Patriots, Veterans, Hardworking blue and white collar workers and now a growing number of blacks joining the #Walkaway movement.

The Lefts base:

Elites

Anarchists

Socialists

Hollywood

Sexists

Conservatives already fell for this astroturfed nonsense during the Tea Party. And of course, Russian propaganda in 2016 and ever since. Hopefully they learn their lesson eventually.

It's probably an attempt to make non Republicans feel downtrodden and not turn out to vote.

Seeing Alyssa Milano, Amy Schumer, and thousand of deranged women in vagina-themed hats shrieking and demanding the lynching of an innocent man doesn’t make me think...

Hey, they seem credible and reasonable...maybe I should try to have a nice conversation with them and see if we have some common ground.”

Sens. Feinstein, Hirono, Harris, and others also behaved disgracefully.

The women (and men) I respect and listen to are the ones who behaved like adults, leaders, and decent human beings...like Sens. Murkowski and Collins.

Equality isn’t sexist, nor is it racist. Asking men to for once listen to women about something important is not sexist. Women have been listening to and taking what men have to say since the dawn of time.

It’s not relevant how people would react if it was a man saying it because there are plenty of reasons for the reactions to be different which I’ve explained above. Women have always been forced to listen to men. The Senate is 80/20 right now. That said, no one needs to “imagine” what you’re asking people to imagine. It doesn’t require imagination.

How were people confused by this?

Let's say you have a co-worker who always talks over you in meetings with your boss. Finally you interrupt and they tell you to shut up and listen.

The next day you decide you're not going to put up with it anymore and you speak your mind. They end up interrupting you and you tell them to shut up and listen.

Are the 2 scenarios the same?  The answer is no, they're not. One person talks all the time, without the other getting a word in. The comments should illicit different reactions.

All things equal, neither men or women should make the comment (or need to), but they're not. The only valid complaint about the comment is that she's generalizing about men and not every single man is like that. I still don't have much of a problem with it based on the comments I've heard from men. The ones who don't act this way should have no problem with someone saying that men should start listening to women on this topic. Similarly I think White people should listen to minorities when they talk about injustice/racism.

The support Trump has among blacks continues to rise and you are seeing more blacks departing the Democrat plantation. The Republicans have been dumb not to push this issue until now as the Dems were successful st locking in the black vote by demonizing Republicans. Trump has challenged the norms for both parties and has changed the electorate right before our eyes.

Well said Ric....middle American and average Joes and Janes throughout our nation are turned off by the Lefts mob mentality pushed for by George Soros and Hollywood elites.

How about we all just listen to each other? Enough with the men should shut up and listen to women and white people should shut up and listen to minorities. Enough of vagina hat marches and shrieking about injustice. Enough of telling white guys their opinions don’t matter and to check their privilege. Enough whining about mansplaining, manspreading, and other newly created offenses.

All this nonsense does it exacerbate tensions between men and women.

Or it just makes you uncomfortable the white male reign is ending. I usually only hear this "its making things worse" argument from the ones who stand to gain the most from keeping the status quo the same.

Umm...we had a black POTUS for 8 years and this country turned to crap...terrorism grew, aggression toward cops and law and order grew, the economic recovery was weak, and the country rejected that leadership in 2016.

Wow...just wow. I love the "weak recovery" part the most  how do you have a weak recovery from the worst economic recession since the great depression? Your white fragility is showing and it doesn't look good.

This is what the Left does best...plays identity politics. I never said anything about YOUR race but simply responded to your comment about white men in general by calling out the main failures of a non-white POTUS. That seems to have triggered you into resorting to race baiting and identity politics.

Me race baiting?? You literally replied to my assertion the white male reign was ending with 'well look what happens when you put the blacks in charge' you honestly sound like a white supremicist with that response. You were the one that made it about race in the first place, then you blame me for race baiting? Classic.

You may want to take a break and then go back and re-read what was posted. You initiated a comment about the reign of white men and conveyed your prejudice. I called you on it and now you resort to more name calling. When will the Left learn that this name calling is what got Trump elected and is what is causing the Conservative movement to be growing and winning all over. Average apolitical Americans are tired of these unfounded attacks on so-called deplorables. I could care less what gender or race a leader is as long as they are getting results...something Trump is doing and that Obama was unable to do.
