I hope not. Maybe not but they could say they don't think they currently have a QB with the right skill set Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Do you guys think Scott Frost will be the new head football coach at Nebraska? 2 Quote Link to comment
C N Red
Said he "will decide in next couple days." Got that from a trusted source. 1 Quote Link to comment
Huskers93-97
Another Crystal Ball for Nebraska. Quote Link to comment
MinnwiscowaSker
I thought “Silly Season” was about coaching changes, not kids who played as a h.s. junior and are committed to another program being instant impact and a four year starter here. Pump. The. Brakes. 2 Quote Link to comment

Pump. The. Brakes. In general I think that is crazy to assume, but a kid that looks like he could fit Frost' s offense like a glove, who was called 20 minutes after ucf won a conf title, and was told he was their guy probably has at least a chance to earn the starting position. Nothing is guaranteed though. Combime that with Milton starting as a freshman and I don't see it to be that far fetched at all. Edited December 12, 2017 by swmohusker Quote Link to comment

I see what you’re saying and see where people are coming from, but for people to be all excited about this kid potentially he starting early next year seems misguided. It’ll be almost 2 years without playing then needing to master a new offense and oh yeah doing it in the big 10. I sure hope that’s not our best case scenario. Quote Link to comment

But the true beauty of the new offense is it is simple, but complicated at the same time and so hard to defend. Learning curve won't be near as difficult and the way they this staff practices is efficient and maximizes practice time. We won't have to waste a year with prized recruits because our offense is too complex to learn it all (T. Lindsay). Should be able to hit the ground running. Quote Link to comment

Danny Bateman
I would bet for the field vs. Martinez if he winds up here as far as the starter next year, but I think the point is we need to just stockpile as much talent as we can get right now and figure it out later. Lee showed this year what having average to below average QB play looks like, particularly if you have a lack of talent or depth around them. Quote Link to comment

Frost said it took until the second spring practices at UCF to get the whole offense installed, so I wouldn't start thinking transitioning to this offense will be a snap. 1 Quote Link to comment
