The ex-president has been critical of how President Joe Biden, who he may run against in the 2024 presidential election, has handled diplomatic relations with Russia. But critics accuse Trump of taking positions seen as favorable to Putin. During an interview on Real America's Voice, a right-wing network favorable to Trump, the former president criticized the Biden administration. He argued that their "rhetoric" in the months leading up to the Ukraine invasion contributed to Putin's decision. "They actually taunted him, if you really look at it. Our country, and our so-called leadership, taunted Putin. I said, you know, they're almost forcing him to go in with what they're saying. The rhetoric was so dumb." He claimed, without evidence, that the Ukraine invasion would have "never" happened if he were still president. TL;DR - Lack of ammunition, engines, shells, replacement barrels and parts in general caused by too-small military budgets and shortages caused by President Biden's sanctions mean that around the end of this calendar year simple supply issues will make it extremely difficult for Russia to continue this war. Worth a read, especially if you're having trouble falling asleep. https://theins.ru/en/politics/254573 I was surprised at how short the operational life of a tank or jet fighter engine is. It will be interesting how history records this war and also how military strategists at military academies world wide use it as an example of incompetence, poor execution, poor planning and also plain evil when a mad man controls a country - thinking he is a military expert when he isn't (sounds like TFG who said he knew more than all of the generals). Some context on Elon's claim that he needs a handout from the US Government for Ukrainian use of Starlink: I would imagine the answer to "why is Ukraine so special in sense of operating SpaceX and StarLink" is... All true. But like most things in life, Elon is complicated and has done a lot for electric vehicles and conversion from fossil fuels.
