Archy1221
Been lurking a few years and finally got mad enough to start posting after today. The biggest difference in the game today between the two teams was QB play and a close second was o-line play. AM has had happy feet all season long and looks to me like he can’t wait to get rid of the ball on plays like screen plays. He has missed a host of wide open receivers, or made bad throws on flat routes where the running back/receiver is not able to catch the ball in stride. All three of his interceptions would have been completions with Fields on our team. Today was a prime game to take him out for a few series and put Vedral in, let AM get some sideline looks to calm down and also for him get a sense of urgency and the feeling that his position is not a given. He needs to play the starter. He was flat out unacceptable today. 3 1 Quote Link to comment

He is tentative, indecisive, horribly inaccurate and playing scared. Anyone can see this. He needs to be benched. He needs to prove he can start for this team at this point. Last year is gone. 10_point_buck
Amen...,,,TM has been a basket case all season. Plain and simple, we are a bad team Quote Link to comment
Cdog923
One begats the other, and my opinion, the offensive line is the (much) bigger of the two issues (and directly leads to the poor QB play). I've said it before, but our current Guard-Center-Guard combo might be the worst I have ever seen at Nebraska. Jurgens is not a center, Wilson has regressed under Austin, and Hixson is a walk-on, regardless of his scholarship situation. Jaimes has seemingly regressed, too, and M. Farniok is a guard forced to be at tackle. 7 1 Quote Link to comment

Archy1221
It Very well may be, however at some point the QB needs to make his throws when they are open and put some pressure on the defense. When the o-line does give him time, he is a very inaccurate passer so far this year and he is crushing the team with all the turnovers. It was a huge problem last year too 1 Quote Link to comment
olddominionhusker
Yes the Oline sucks, but he is missing throws when he has time. He can’t even accurately throw a screen pass at this point. I know he has talent but we can’t just keep running him out there to do this. He needs to sit and figure it out. He flat out sucks right now 3 1 Quote Link to comment

However, if Vedral had to receive 50% erroneous snaps from the shotgun, his play may look a little doinked up as well.... 1 Quote Link to comment

WyoHusker56
Ah yes, benching players always improves their play so much more than giving them reps to work through their play. Obviously AM is winning the job during the week and that's not going to change. The backup quarterbackitis from fans is so ridiculous. 4 1 2 1 Quote Link to comment
10_point_buck
Jurgens flat out stinks and it starts with the bad snaps 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Archy1221
Actually it’s done more than you think. Pull the starter for a few series if the play is awful, let him get his head back together, see a few things from the sidelines, be next to Frost during the drives and then go back in to finish off the game at the start of the second half. 3 1 Quote Link to comment
Micheal
Frost got benched in a game and it did him well. I have no problem with Adrian sitting for a while. 1 1 2 Quote Link to comment
PasstheDamnBallGuy
Fields was not that accurate with his passes and he had a lot of time in clean pockets. His WRs were also constantly getting separation. Quote Link to comment
