I'll explain it I assumed it was going to be obscure.

 

Sufjan Stevens is an incredible artist, but is a really unique person. Back in the early/mid 2000s he put out albums called Michigan and Illinois(both were incredibly well received) and claimed he would make an album for every state.

 

If you were young and into his music at the time it was a pretty exciting thing that he was going to do something that ambitious; 50 albums for a musician you like and getting one about your home state eventually got people riled up. Turns out he was just messing with everyone when he brought up the Fifty States Project, but the reference made me laugh.
