Might want to think about the demand for fuel last summer which caused the fuel prices to fall due to over supply. Then what has been happening with demand since fall. 2 1 Link to comment

They chose a route that avoided the Sandhills. I was mistaken. It's been awhile since the issue has been talked about. What's their consensus about it outside of a leak into the aquifer? Do they think it will disrupt their operation? Are they ok with any financial compensation they would get to give up the land? Link to comment

My Uber Republican buddy is strongly opposed to the pipeline for the potential leak and running through his fields, so he is giving Biden big kudos on this. His oldest brother came around a bit on renewable energy though, if they want the land they are going to get it anyway so no reason to fight em. But the potential decades of soil contamination is the big hang-up. Link to comment

If it wasn't they would still likely be gung-ho lay that pipe people... these NIMBY(s) (not in my backyard.) It only shows Republicans don't care about anything in principle until it directly impacts them. 4 1 Link to comment
Archy1221
What was the price per mile being offered to land owners? People in Texas are getting a pretty penny for gas pipelines. 1 Link to comment

It's buzz word mud slinging. If that's your platform more power to ya. 1 Link to comment

Doesn't make anyone a bad person. Even most of the posters here, that talk about this and that needing to be changed/saved/cancelled...that is all it is , talk and posts. They don't actually do anything because well, in the end, most of us do what we do for ourselves and family. It is not a D or R thing...it is a human thing. 1 2 Link to comment

Kinda like those Limo Liberals always talking high and mighty about wanting their taxes raised and Government should do it yada yada yada. And at the same time they take all their relevant deductions, put money in all the relevant tax safe havens, and never donate more to the treasury than absolutely necessary. The billionaire tax whiners are the worst. “Oh raise my taxes, I don’t pay enough. It’s better for society to have higher tax rates”. Knowing full well they have the best accountants to continue to explore any loophole available. Meanwhile, If they are gonna be so vocal about the upper middle class paying more in taxes too in order to make the world a better place, why don’t those folks donate every penny they have above 1 billion dollars In net worth immediately instead of hoarding all that dough? Can’t Mr. and Mrs. High and Mighty figure out a way to Comfortably live off of $1 billion for the rest of their lives to make the world a better place and stop moralizing with their words and do it with their deeds instead. Of course, I am for people paying the tax rate set by the government and voluntarily donating to charity and causes. The lower the tax rate with no loopholes the better in my line. But I hate fake people who talk about inequity to shame everyone else while they hoard more wealth than some small countries. I’m not against them from having that wealth at all, just shut up and enjoy it 3 1 Link to comment
