@NUance I had a similar thought the other day. It's crazy how the basketball committee values SOS and football just doesn't care.

The UNL staff who schedules our games needs to figure these things out.

Oddsmakers are probably having a bit of a hard time with conference games when it comes to teams like Wisconsin.  This would be like a KU all of a sudden sucking.  The Badgers have finished in the top 4 in conference for 15 years or so, now they stink and you keep thinking "This is the game where they break out" but I think we are seeing that they are so young and that Gard is not Ryan.

He is guaranteed 25 million until he's 40..

and Hoz will be 36 at the end of the Royal deal with career numbers not anywhere near Votto's, even though he's six years younger.  Hoz is a defensive guy and there is better value out there at 1b if the Royal's don't get some pitching.  He's great defensively and somewhere in the middle third when compared to other starting 1st basemen.  If he thinks he can do better then 20 million/year, then he should go chase that.  

Hoz career .284/.342/.439 - one ring though.  That should count  for something.  

Votto career- .313/.428/.541

He announces games now?  That sounds like some painful viewing.

He's pretty mediocre and has a tendency to way over explain things.  It's a double edged sword with me.  He could use a few years seasoning calling games and that usually happens at a smaller regional network so he's finding his footing on the national stage so I cut him some slack.  On the other end, if his dad isn't Mike Golic Sr there is a strong chance he probably isn't at ESPN.

I agree 100%. He mentioned that stupid lawn mower so many times and couldnt spit out simple phrases correctly. He was really really bad.

Explained in the press conference, but the play was the same exact one as the one Palmer just scored on.  Why Miles didn't call a timeout.  First option was Palmer, 2nd was the 3 in the corner.
