  1. Someday we'll figure out how to cover the RB out of the backfield...

We have to have somebody better than Banderas. If there is one player in the Defense that I could just get rid of, it would be Banderas. Every game I watch, Banderas does nothing. Banderas is nothing more than a body out there.

No kidding. Spy the RB with a CB or something. Sell out to take away the RB out of the backfield and force them to beat you with something else.

It's not engineering and it's not as hard, but I ain't going to rip on it. Him and Alex did more than 99.9% of other football players.

Not saying that, I just like acccuracy rather than trying to portray him as some genius.

Like a week old. I mentioned it about then, a week ago espn did this story about him.

  2. Liked what I heard from Ameer and Josh Mitchell in the post-game pressers, but like Josh said, "Don't just talk about it, be about it."

  3. Todd Gurley is gonna give Ameer a run for his money in terms of nation's best RB.

I know he is good. I am not be snarky, but there are differences between player and position.

Gurley is a bad a$$...and he almost came to Clemson.............

  4. Interesting quote from Bo. I do recall a lot of jet sweeps/motions/fakes/etc during practice from the spring and fall camp footage. Didn't really need to tip our hand today in order to be effective, so hopefully we'll see that later on.
  5. Owa having a good game for UCLA. Just imagine what could have been with him opposite RG4 on our D-line....

  6. I'll never forget when he went off against KSU and Washington. All he needed at the time was the slightest bit of daylight and he was gone. Probably the fastest player in CFB at the time.
  7. Any ideas on how to go about taking advantage of a hail sale from a Blair car dealership?

When they advertise they are having a hail sale, show up and purchase a heavily damged vehicle, as is, at the discounted price they offer you. It's doubtful the discount will be enough to fully repair the vehicle so I'm not real sure who will be taking advantage of whom.

I leased a truck from Woodhouse awhile back that had pretty minor hail damage. They fixed the damage for free to looking like new and chopped a substantial amount of the price. Definitely worth it. Although I'm sure the damage is much worse this time, so like JJ said I'm not sure who would really be benefiting.

      EbylHusker

The worst will be totaled out, I'm sure. The ones they can salvage should be put out at a pretty good sale. If you're looking for a vehicle to storm chase in, one with hail damage and on sale is great! :P

They run a lot of the same formations with variations in the same play. Not complicated, but tough to defend. Completely different from Nebraska.

It doesn't hurt that no one in the SEC actually plays defense either.

We run 10 formations with 300 different plays, and once we run one that works it is immediately torn from the pages never to be run again.

  11. TOMMY, has never shown to be even close to the runner that Taylor was. Tommy won't get constantly stuffed in the open field like Taylor was; conversely, he won't take it to the house like Taylor did. It depends on the offense, I guess. If you want your QB to be explosive and hit game changing plays, Taylor is the better "runner". If you want a fluid offense that stays on schedule, I think Tommy is the better runner in that situation. Taylor is a better straight line runner - Tommy is a better football runner, IMO. And I really hope we get a new S&C program. Tommy has lost so much speed since being here, it is crazy. As compared to what? His HS football film? If so, that's not surprising. Please back your criticism up with objective numbers. Is his 40 yard dash decreased so much that it's "crazy?" Please back your criticism up with legitimate information, that is separate from your subjective opinion. The level of competition since HS has been raised. Division 1 ball is a different level of athlete. TA might actually be faster than he was in HS, the issue is the speed on the D1 defenses he is currently facing.
  12. Bo has also coached more than 80 games. At some point you need to realize that 3 questions running into the locker room before half is a part of the job. Say we have things to fix and move on. This. Its part of the job and it comes with the territory. Are there things about my job that I dislike and sometimes think are stupid? Absolutely. Do I still do them? Absolutely, because if I didn't, I'd probably be replaced by someone who would do them with a smile on their face.

because we needed to win and it wasn't going to happen with anyone else.

  14. Yep. Fattest QB I've ever did see and shockingly he's gotten even bigger. Oh my lord.

Ameer isn't all that much faster than rext. More elusive and agile, but as highlighted in that video, he doesn't really possess breakaway speed either.

    4. ZRod

      ZRod

I think Rex and Ameer are remarkably similar the only really difference I see between them other than size is that Ameer has more lateral acceleration.
