We're watching a JV version of 2009's team.

Not using one timeout when the clock was at 1:24 was a huge mistake. For someone with Rhule’s experience you would think he should be smarter in using his timeouts and managing the clock. He also has NFL experience which should have helped him have an appreciation for time management. So, frustrating to be tied with LT in our home turf.

I just don't understand it. There's not any level of talent you need, no special technique, to know how to use timeouts.

The clock management was fine. You don't want to leave LT with time if Haarberg doesn't get that generous spot.

Boy the west is so bad.. poor qb play coaching changes bad offenses… yet we have a defense that could win the west but we manage to put the worst offense on the field week in week out.. our o line is a joke. Our qb’s as a whole are not good.. our wide outs are not able to create separation.. we need wide outs, new qb’s, and a line coach who can develop.. be a mix of development from rhule and a mix of win now buy players in the portal stop wasting some of these kids time at Nebraska.. how often do we see good kids play with crap around them or crap on the offense..

I don't know if it was great.  But you are correct that you have to get the first first down before using the timeouts.

 

Could have had more urgency, though.

Welp, it's halftime and we ain't losing and we didn't turn the ball over in the first half.

We need some good halftime adjustments from this staff.

I saw guys on YouTube predicting 40-14. It's possible that losing our top RBs has killed what little offense we had.

So far, this is playing out like one of our 1 score losses.  If we don't win the turnover battle, we are in trouble.

I respectfully disagree. We had to kick on second down and we missed. If we had more time, we could have used two more plays.

Cornhuskers get the ball to start the second half so that's a good thing! Need a good long dominating offensive drive ending with a Husker touchdown.
