irafreak
Lost in this discussion....why was Suh driving a 1970 Chevy Coupe? Probably because he has the money to buy badass cars. Not to be mistaken here...it simply doesn't seem like a car Suh would be driving around. I picture him more of the SUV type. But just to point out...if I had plenty of cash...a 70 Chevy would NOT be in my top 20. Go big or go home. Quote Link to comment
husker_99
I think people are really starting to lose respect for him. Appearantly it's too hard for him to not make headlines for doing stupid things. Quote Link to comment

The same car with a 454 would be my #1 if I had the cash to throw around. Quote Link to comment

Appearantly it's too hard for him to not make headlines for doing stupid things. Losing control of a car is stupid? I doubt the wreck was intentional. Receiving bad publicity for this is ridiculous, it was a car accident, and he wasn't impaired, so there is no issue. I saw on the journal star blog, where one of the writers wondered if the Lions were starting to consider if Suh was worth his trouble. Are you kidding me?? He single handedly changed the attitude, and direction of that football team. Quote Link to comment

I know I am beginning to be concerned about how his behavior reflects on Nebraska. Articles like the one written by that hack chick from Fox sports the other day are a great example. I don't give her ANY credence whatsoever, but lots of folks outside Nebraska do. And the LJS guy who wrote that question about the Lions losing faith in Suh was written by a guy who just came to the paper from Idaho, another outsider to the culture of Nebraska. Those questions are out there and they are legit. And they exist because of Suh's actions. Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
Lost in this discussion....why was Suh driving a 1970 Chevy Coupe? Well at least no traitor car like Toy-R-Us, Datsun, Hoonda, etc. Obviously, Suh is a patriot guy (no pun intended) Quote Link to comment

With the level he has played I can't imagine that crossing their minds. The media, of course they are going to tear him down best they can (especially outside of Nebraska), but making him out to be public enemy #1 is absurd, in my opinion. I would agree that some of his "on-field" actions are putting a minimal/short-lived negative reflection on Nebraska, but some of the coverage has been overblown. The difference in opinons on the matter, from media, and former players is telling. I know that some players have lashed out at him, but there has been a number of them that have taken up for him in a big way (aside from the kicking thing). Admittedly, I laughed on Thanksgiving, I didn't have a problem with the "rubbing of face into ground" part, but the kicking was crossing the line a bit, but not to the extent that some think. Even little ol' Greeny off of Mike n Mike in the morning came to Suh's defense.... Quote Link to comment
knapplc
But do you actually believe the Lions are having those thoughts? No, not at all. I think Suh's positive/negative gauge is still WAAAY positive. That idiot from Fox news was writing schlock to drive hits to her story, and there can't be five people in the world that think she was on the money. But with the guy from LJS, it's clear there is a sentiment that something is wrong with Suh. And he's not exactly working hard to dispel that notion. Quote Link to comment

He made his intentions clear very early, when he talked about "getting after the QB" or something like that. Up to the point of kicking, I had no problem with any of his play (the Cutler penalty was ridiculous). It does seem that there is that sentiment out there, but it seems off base to me. He is the baddest guy on the field ALWAYS, I just think he needs to contain himself to proving it between the whistles. I would imagine that this latest incident will get Big Suh's attention. In the Deed the Glory
I don't understand those that don't like that car. Nice. Apparently Suh struggles with rear wheel horsepower, too bad such a terrible driver wrecked such a nice car. He probably lost control when he stomped on it... 1 Quote Link to comment

And besides, Detroit is one of those cities (like Philly, Oakland) that likes bad boys. Getting a bit of a rep will probably increase Suh's stature in Detroit. At least among some of their hardcore fans anyway. I'm not saying the hack new articles on Suh are a good thing. I'm just saying that Suh is not going to get canned over what some Fox news bimbo writes. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
I have gotten into car wrecks three times. Does that make me a bad person? Seriously, this is just a car accident, he's not the first athlete to get into one and he won't be the last. Quote Link to comment

The other one totaled my car, it was a pretty nice car too Quote Link to comment
