sewardite4NU
Negative Nancys doing thier thing. Castille is having a decent time at Montana, heard he got voted team Captain this year, so good for him. Funny he transfered for the same reason, the offense didnt suit his running style and now we are recruiting big backs like him again...weird. You're thinking of Dontrayevous Robinson. Castille got kicked off the team. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Castille had success after his transfer as well to Northwestern State. Most times I think players are doing themselves a disservice by transferring unless the depth is stacked. You guys are right that transfers don't tend to pan out -- transfers tend to be players who are already in tough situations, otherwise they wouldn't be transferring. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
No matter how you try to spin it this hurts the team. Aaron Green was having a HUGE spring from what I've been told. If this team is gravitating toward a more power type of rushing attack, then I can't see how Ameer Abdullah works into things either. Green was very talented and will now join the list of extremely talented Huskers that have either transferred or never been given an opportunity. Good luck to the young man. He will stand out wherever he goes and it will prove to be a big loss for us. I knew we should not have moved Heard away from RB......... Who were they? I agree with not given the opportunity to play but who were the 'extremely talented Huskers that transferred'? That's what I'm trying to figure out too. "The list of extremely talented Huskers that transfered or wasn't given the opportunity". J. Dailey? C. Dukes? C. Green? Haha.....I can't even think of one guy who hacks the "list". However, for those that have left just MAYBE they "weren't given the opportunity" because we had other players at their position that were better. Duh. Negative Nancys doing thier thing. Castille is having a decent time at Montana, heard he got voted team Captain this year, so good for him. Funny he transfered for the same reason, the offense didnt suit his running style and now we are recruiting big backs like him again...weird. Green should have stuck it out. His dad said it best, hes just not being patient enough, your a soph for F sake. Kids got alot of growing up to do. Im betting we hear from him when hes a senior after a big wake up call. You cant bounce everything to the outside and run by everyone like you did in HS kid, this is college where everyone is just as fast as you, you have to follow your blocks. He will get it, just hope its not too late for him. If a football player does something, and it is at Montana State...does anyone care? And yeah...it's Robinson, not Castille. Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
I just like to remember who we have at running back: Imani Cross Mike Marrow King Frazier Ameer Abdullah Zach Taylor Graham Nabity Jordan Nelson Murat Kuzu We're going to be fine Imani Cross - Hasn't set foot on campus yet, but I expect him to be a bulldozer Mike Marrow - I'm super stoked for him, but still hasn't played a snap for us yet. King Frazier - Who knows if he ever sees the field. Ameer Abdullah - We know what we have with this guy. I like him a lot. Zach Taylor - Graham Nabity - Jordan Nelson - Murat Kuzu - Quote Link to comment
ladyhawke
***Rumor Alert**** Aaron is 99% likely that he's going to TCU. He apparently never wanted to come here in the first place and hated his time here.Talked to UT too, but that didn't pan out. Heard is apparently going back to RB, with Marrow being the goal line RB. Also there is a rumbling that Ron Brown is about to get canned too, which didn't help. Now THAT would be really bad. He is one of the best coaches Nebraska has. To lose him would indeed be a blow to the team. 1 Quote Link to comment

Plus, we'll just see him all over cable news which will only bring negativity to the program. I say TO doesn't let this happen. Quote Link to comment

RedRedJarvisRedwine
I want to begin a discussion without having to start a new thread and I thought this may be the best place. I get that we are trying to transition our team from speed to power. Is there a certain B1G team we are using as a mold? Wisconsin perhaps. Because I'm pretty sure the URB is gonna move tOSU to a more speed style of play(Fla) with the wing backs like Percy Harvin. Once Meyer gets his team to look like an SEC team will we get stuck trying to reinvent ourselves again? Quote Link to comment
