It'sNotAFakeID
Well, we were down 14-0 early. Managed to get it to 14-3 at halftime. Scored on our first possession of the second half to make it 14-10. Then Bo blew up on that PI call on third down. Gave them a first down which led to a field goal. Then Bo tried a fake punt...which I don't care if they thought it was there, when it's a one score game and your defense is looking like they are starting to play, you don't give them the ball in your territory. One play later it's a 14 point game again. We got it back to a one score game. Stopped them, and then Ameer fumbled and that was that. Quote Link to comment
commando
they were better coached, more physical, faster and stronger than us, and played with more fire then we did. i would say they destroyed us. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Iowa destroyed us. They got their one. Good for them. It tells you how unsuccessful they have been when this single victory is so huge for them. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
They played much harder and with much more passion and fire than we did. On Senior Day. Tip your cap to them and congratulate them. 1 Quote Link to comment
Redux
You gotta hand it to them for their gameplan and execution. We looked sluggish and disorganized on most of our drives. It was painful to watch our offense. Our defense did what it could and that is commendable. Did they destroy us? No, the final was the result of a gassed Blackshirt unit and our ineptitude to finish the game out with a couple of scores to keep it closer. They can have their "blowout" because the trophy comes back to Lincoln in a year. Quote Link to comment

skersfan
If the score and out come had been the same at Iowa City on senior day, with Nebraska winning, would we have destroyed them. Answer honestly. That tells the story. We got beat handily at home, by a better team. Credit where credit is due. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Iowa Colorado'01ed us, in my opinion. I have a bad feeling about the future now. I see a team that has enough mental problems as it is, and now a year where they were manhandled by Minnesota and Iowa, I dont see how they recover. I'm losing faith pretty quickly. What a depressing year for football. And I thought at least my Chiefs were providing some decent football to watch.............. Quote Link to comment
skersfan
My wife is about to go Pelini in the front room. I have removed all hard objects around the big screen. Pray for me. Quote Link to comment
Ric Flair
Yeah, the fact that we're even having this discussion is a real problem. As is the fact that Iowa just came into our stadium on Senior Day, played better and more disciplined footbal, more than doubled up on us on the scoreboard, and then rubbed it in our faces. Unacceptable. Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
Yes. Next question. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
We still had a chance going into the 4th quarter, comes down to 5 things: 1. INT #1 2. INT #2 3. Fake punt fail. 4. PI penalty coupled with unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. 5. AA's fumble. That's the game, so that tells you they didn't manhandle us. Quote Link to comment
