Red Five
Does anyone have a cliff notes version of what it going on here? Was it just the 95 team wanted to film interviews or something at the Stadium and someone told them "no"? Quote Link to comment
Nebhawk
The shadow of Ozzy makes those of importance or relevance shake in their boots. This is classical. No matter in what manner we seem to look and judge the happenings since Ozzy retired, we all know that the legacy left can't be matched, and it make those in this position jealous. Until the University accepts that Tom was the football program and is the living icon that still represents the program, your going to have lines in the sand drawn amongst fans and school officials. In order to embrace the future, we must accept our past. Until we hire an administration the can accept the past, without being jealous, without being nonchalant, and have pride in what made up the program, folks its never going to resolve itself. I agree, this shouldn't come out of the woodwork now, but its an issue thats in need of resolve, and in need of some deep soul searching amongst the powers to be at Nebraska. I say no matter how Coach Riley does this year, the University needs to go and hire Trev Alberts as the next AD. Let Trev have a year or so and get the money boosters really back on board, bring TO back into the picture, and get those teams and players from the dynasty years back to some level of involvement in the program. That is what made Nebraska great. That will be what makes them once again a force to be reckoned with. 2 Quote Link to comment
C N Red
If any of you haven't quite figured it out yet I will tell you AGAIN!! Perlman is a an absolute D-Bag. He does not like TO b/c people like him and give him on props on things he has done. He is a very jealous and envious little squirrel looking man. Cannot wait until he is gone. Quote Link to comment

StPaulHusker
Nice for a journalist to make ambiguous tweets about something that may be nothing Quote Link to comment

I'm sure there are plenty of successful athletic programs he can shut down in Lincoln like he did in Omaha. Quote Link to comment
TheSker
It may be the worst kept secret in Huskerland about the rift between the administration and Osborne. Suh referenced it in a tweet when Pelini was fired. Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
It's probably safe to say that when the full tale of Tom Osborne's time at Nebraska is told, there will be some who don't agree that his pedestal should be quite so high. Between being a coach and an AD, he's made great choices and he's made mistakes. The mistakes he's made have harmed the university, the degrees of which likely depend on your point of view. As Mr. Severe says, the AD is not bigger than the school. However, this specific tweet... ... could refer to more than one AD. And it's a good time to remember that Tom Osborne was, recently, Nebraska's AD. How much of it could be that the current Admins are just tired of being compared to Osborne and his supporting staff from back in the day? Quote Link to comment
Dagerow
Yet another example why I strongly dislike the administration. Quote Link to comment
Dansker
Well, let's see... Osborne won 3 NC's, won the most games in 25 years as a HC and coached arguably the greatest CFB team of all-time. I'm pretty sure his accomplishments far outweigh his mistakes. Quote Link to comment
