AFhusker
Tommy's been damn near perfect throwing everything and anything en route to 21 point lead. So Langs is suddenly a moron for continuing what's been working. Not sure I like that logic. Some on here won't blame the players for anything. They only blame the coaches.what was working was being balanced on offense. Then we decided to only throw. Either way those passes were on Tommy, not the coaches. Thank you! Quote Link to comment

But dont give up the momentum to Rutgers. We might lose this game because of those picks. All the blame goes on Langs. Quote Link to comment
lo country
Shades of BYU....... Sure was. Did you see that replay?!?! We...AGAIN...had at least 2 or 3 defensive backs standing in the end zone just looking at the play like statues. Again. Lack of coaching. Just watching Rutgers receivers leap for the ball..... Dansker
Coaches coach and players play if we run the ball more and eat clock, this is still a 21-0 maybe even a 28-0 game. Quote Link to comment
Jeremy
Play to the QB's f*ing strengths. Dear Lord, how can any of you blaming Langsdorf for that INT? The guy was wide open and TA overthrew it horribly. That is 100% on TA, not Langs. Langsdorf knows his QB has 54% completion percentage and makes boneheaded mistakes. So no, it's not just on TA. Yes it is, and if you don't see that then you have an unhealthy obsession with blaming everything on the coaching staff. TA doesn't have really andy strengths other than extending a play with his feet so if you "play to his strengths" then we wouldn't throw the ball at all.Bull. With him, you can go ZR, ZR PA, PA boot, move the pocket, roll out, etc. Basically a lot of stuff DL doesn't want to do Quote Link to comment

So Langs is suddenly a moron for continuing what's been working. Not sure I like that logic. He was perfect throwing with the wind. Been throwing against the wind in the second quarter and has struggled. That's the logic. And he got lucky on a couple plays when the DBs were no looking for the ball. TA has thrown a lot of passes, and you know he is good for a boneheaded throw every now and then. Why take that chance when you have a 21 point lead? Run the ball down their throat, break their will, do not give them a chance at a momentum changing play. Well said! Quote Link to comment

Hopefully someday soon we will have an OL that can do that, but it isn't who we are right now. Quote Link to comment

The Duke
Nebraska in the 2nd half needs to use more Imani Cross on north-south running. He was looking good on the Power-O play. Would love to get Imani going on the Power-O, Tommy with the Quarterback Sweep, and the start mixing in some rollout back-side screen passes. Rutgers was getting beat badly in the first quarter with misdirection plays. Quote Link to comment

MichiganDad3
That wasn't Langs fault, it was Armstrongs. The receiver was wide open. Some of you need help on your obsession of wanting to blame the staff. The coaching staff knows TA make bad decisions, and bad throws. With a 21 point lead, and great a great yards per carry, we should not be calling that play on first down.Great yards per carry? If it weren't for our TE running for 32 yards we're averaging 3 yards per carry.. Not great 4.6 not counting TA. Quote Link to comment

An OC who calls to this and we could be sitting very pretty right now. Quote Link to comment

Tommy just drives me completely crazy. I know Langs calls the plays, but a player with the experience of Tommy needs to just throw the damn ball away. The first pick he missed completely, the second INT is ALL on Tommy!!!! Quote Link to comment
brophog
Its comforting to realize that Langs learns nothing. And at the first time to go all pass happy he does... When an opponent is this bad, they've given up and your guys get aggressive like this, you as a coach have to know they're going to get sloppy and careless. It may be fun to throw bombs in a game like this, but it's unneeded, and dangerous. You as a coach have to reign them in. 1 Quote Link to comment
