RADAR
Oregon would beat the piss outta NU this year. Oregon is 7-3, and the way they are playing will end up 9-3. No way do they pair Oregon up with NU Next year it should be a good game. Many might disagree if we woop up on Iowa. Quote Link to comment

lo country
Now that would suck and make the boo birds talk about the weak B1G..... No bueno. We just need to beat Iowa and secure our spot. Quote Link to comment
BoNeyard
i would LOVE to beat Bret Bielema and Arkansas. I do NOT want Oregon in a bowl and makes no sense for what would be a 6-6 Nebraska team to play a red hot possibly 8 or 9 win Oregon team. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
If Stanford somehow gets beat by Cal, Oregon may be playing a revenge game against Utah anyway. There's still a shot Oregon plays is a REALLY good bowl game. Assuming they win out and get some help. Quote Link to comment
NoLongerN
Might be fun to play Missouri. They're 5-5. I don't know - they have dedicated the rest of the season for their coach - they might be playing above their abilities. Maybe we could do the same as well. :-) It would be nice to play an SEC team, especially a former Big 12 team as well. Quote Link to comment
KCBuc
5-7 means NU gets whatever is leftover after the 6-6/6-7 teams get the invite (at least that's my understanding). NU could go about anywhere because the bowl ties will not come into play. Quote Link to comment

Moiraine
I wish the Sun Bowl had a B1G tie in seeing as I'll be 2 miles from there during that game. Quote Link to comment

I would say, 'red hot' would require us to defeat Iowa 35 -14 or so and look dam good doing it in all phases of the game. Even then, I don't think you can really say NU is red hot when their final record is 6-6. Maybe if they started 0-6 and won their last 6 in a row. I suppose if we played a 9 or 10 win Oregon team in a Florida bowl game, that might be Ok but we sure don't want to play them on the west coast say in San Franscisco. they would have effectively a home game crowd. We would have maybe 7500 fans go. We have not traveled well to bowl games for quite a few years really and I sure would not expect many to go to California (Nebraskans are not big on CA bowl destinations in my recollection). Frankly, travel costs are pretty high (air plane tickets and hotels particularly). I think you need to try to find a bowl in Texas that is driveable for Nebraska folks. San Antonio is nice and Dallas is close. Tennessee would be a decent trip for eastern Nebraskans. Quote Link to comment

They need to manhandle a top 5 team by 21 points to be redhot? Really? 1 Quote Link to comment

BoNeyard
I feel like Nebraska has gone to Florida a lot as well for bowls recently, and that has not helped build a recruiting pipeline in the state of Florida. Texas bowl destination would be nice. Quote Link to comment
