Hunter94
with TA and so many new guys up front, 8-4 would be about right. Quote Link to comment
commando
if we don't win the championship, the super bowl, the final 4, the world series, and the NBA title i think there will be a lot of fans calling for Riley to be fired. it's what they do. Quote Link to comment
GSG
7 wins is the bottom for me this year as long as everyone stays healthy, no blowouts, etc. If there are a bunch of injuries, I will be more forgiving on the record Quote Link to comment

kchusker_chris
It wont be so much about total number of wins as long as it is clear to everyone we are in the right direction. But yeah I will be disappointed unless we win 9 or 10, looks more than doable. This - I don't like the look of next year's schedule so I don't want to put too much of an emphasis on a specific #. 2017 however... Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
Ms. Karma really needs to smile on the Huskers this next season after the year we had in 2015. If not she will be living up to her nickname I think we've been waiting for Ms. Karma to shine on us since 2001. She's a bit(# so not to be counted on. Even a bitch smiles once in awhile. Bowfin
Nine wins has always been the benchmark that divides positive from negative. Why change it now? 1 Quote Link to comment

Yeah, 6-7 was so close to virtually accomplishing all of that. There's hardly a sliver of daylight between the two, actually. So if I am reading your right, you are saying that people not happy with a 6-7 season will never be satisfied with anything. 2 Quote Link to comment
NUinID
I think anything less than 8 wins will be disappointing. Other than OSU I feel fairly confident that NU can beat every other team on the schedual. That doesn't mean they are all gimmies though. Oregon, Wisconsin, Iowa will be tough games. NW will be decent, though I don't think they will be as good as they were this year. They lose a bit on defense, which is what they hung there hat on last year. Indiana is its own little scary problem. You look at them and say that we should not lose to them, but they can put up points in bunches. 1 Quote Link to comment
huKSer
I might be happy with an undefeated National Championship, but only if we dominate every game. Or Division championship. 1 Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I'll be disappointed with anything less than 10 wins paired with an all-time great recruiting class. Quote Link to comment
RunMickeyRun02
The breaking point for me would be 8-4 anything less than that and I will be disappointed. Quote Link to comment
Ulty
A year ago, we were looking back at a coach who under-achieved his way to 9 wins every year. Now we have a thread full of folks who will be happy with 8-4 or 7-5 as a sign of progress. Hang tough, those of you who still have actual standards. 3 Quote Link to comment

After 7 years of underachiving and 1 year of culture shock transition year we got dealt a hard reality check. In the end we hope the lesson isn't "the grass is always greener". I think the lesson will be "to make an omelette, you gotta break some eggs". We win 10 this year. Quote Link to comment
