It'sNotAFakeID
The tone of the A&M tweet is much different than the Nebraska tweet, imo. Quote Link to comment
jjamuss
He's not wrong.... I was saying the same thing under the "Turning Point" thread... feel good wins are not cutting it in the playoff system Turning point is winning the conference, period. 16 years without a conference championship is too long to say any one game during the regular season is a turning point. Anything less is just "ice cream" winning. Don't get me wrong, glad to see the team turning the corner... it's time to put the pedal to the metal and win this thing. http://cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/active/n/nebraska/conf_champs.php 1 Quote Link to comment
NUance
Great win at Northwestern. When was your last meaningful season?!? Shhhh.. —Kirk Herbstreit 2016. Quote Link to comment
HuskerNBigD
What's weird about Herbstreit is he will engage literally anyone on twitter. He loves to get into sh#t with random guys on the internet. I don't really understand it. I mean he looks kinda foolish to me. Benning does the same sh#t. 2 Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I think it's almost part of their job. Quote Link to comment
Stone Cold
I wont say anything about us being back until we get to a conference title game. Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
He is a lightning for Husker fans because of his tantrum he had a few years back about the greatest team. He does a pretty good job as an analyst...he just has a very, very obvious bias. It is what it is. He is better than Mark May!!! Quote Link to comment
RunMickeyRun02
Tweeting him about this is almost as stupid as tweeting recruits. No matter what happens....your the one that's going to look like an idiot. The hypocrisy of a sports talking head telling fans to shush is delicious. Agree with both of these. I think one thing everyone around the country knows, Husker fans take their football very seriously, sometimes too seriously. This is prime troll-bait. If Herbs wants to poke the rabid Husker football fanbase bear that's his deal, just don't expect me to care. Makes for fun message board fodder though Quote Link to comment
GBRHouston
Running an official Twitter account myself which has gotten quite a bit of backlash on reasonable stuff that people do not agree with, I know that when people give you hate on Twitter, the best thing to do is A) Ignore it or B) Come up with a cool sarcastic response. What Kirk did was pretty unprofessional. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
This is the kind of debate we deal with around here when there are no losses to gnash your teeth about. 2 Quote Link to comment
Hayseed
He works for ESPN, he's not a reliable source. Quote Link to comment
California Husker
Who is this Kirkstreet fellow anyway? Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
He's not wrong but it's funny he felt the need to respond to it. Quote Link to comment
dvdcrr
My favorite Gameday sign : Herbstreit dated my mom!" ouch 1 Quote Link to comment
