Or why not someone that could target political opponents of Trump nd the GOP pretty exclusively? That would be more efficient. When Trump won, there was a good degree of debate about whether serious, profession, non-partisan government officials should ride out the storm to try to help rein him in or whether they just hit eject. One by one, they're either stepping down because it's too hard or actively being shown the door. If Trump does replace him with some schmuck or a partisan to do his bidding, we're officially in third-world authoritarian territory. Link to comment
