funhusker
Does Trump really think the "Cornhusker Kickback" happened? I honestly think he does. He without a doubt is forming policy based on far-right, fear-mongering, propaganda. Link to comment
TGHusker
^^^ Trump: "Much more interesting than anybody would understand" Is that like Trump saying "No one understands healthcare better than I". or "No one can solve the lobbyist issue in DC better than I" (something to that affect from the nomination speech) Link to comment
TGHusker
More of Trump's boasts This from 2014 https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/reliable-source/wp/2014/05/27/donald-trumps-eight-biggest-boasts-at-the-national-press-club-speech/?utm_term=.73f763a00e36 Here is the quote from the convention speech. When we heard the phrase "I alone" - the whole country should have run the opposite direction. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/07/21/donald-trump-republican-convention-acceptance-speech/87385658/ CLEVELAND — Completing his historic drive to the Republican presidential nomination, Donald Trump told a divided Republican Party on Thursday he will be the "voice" for frustrated Americans who have been let down by government and the "elites" who run it. "Nobody knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it," Trump told a fired-up crowd of backers that packed the downtown Quicken Loans Arena. 2 Link to comment
TGHusker
This Senator tells NBC that Trump doesn't need to understand the bill - just the principles. Oh, yes the source is Glenn Beck's the Blaze reporting the NBC video clip. Look beyond that. http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/07/20/republican-senator-its-not-important-for-trump-to-understand-health-care/ Link to comment
Danny Bateman
There's a not-so-unbelieveable theory as to why Trump thinks you can get life insurance for $12 a year: 3 Link to comment
Danny Bateman
It looks like Trump's claims that he and the GOP won't own healthcare going forward don't really comport that well with reality: Link to comment
RedDenver
It looks like Trump's claims that he and the GOP won't own healthcare going forward don't really comport that well with reality: Interesting that independents blaming the current government even more than partisans of either party. Danny Bateman
Agreed. But they should be. Democrats are pretty dug in on not repealing the current law, but that's because the alternatives being proposed are noticeably worse. They do have proposed solutions to help stabilize the markets. The most destabilizing force right now is all the uncertainty brought on by the GOP clown car being driven by Donnie Moscow. The most interesting thing to me is the margin for Republicans. I'm used to pretty severe partisan divides on these questions. This one swung the other way pretty distinctly. 1 Link to comment
NM11046
And the fact that T and his ilk are actively defunding call centers, couter advertising against enrollment etc should be a reason that they place blame on failure on him. Link to comment
