HuskerInLostWages
1 minute ago, Branno said: The thing is, you’re factual wrong about what makes targeting. Targeting does not solely occur when players initiate helmet-to-helmet contact. It's defined as occurring when a player "takes aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making a legal tackle or a legal block or playing the ball." Instances include, but are not limited to: Launch--a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area. A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground. Leading with helmet, shoulder forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area. Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of his helmet. Don't know how I am wrong at all, the shoulder hit AM's shoulder and bounced up after the hit, he did not lead with AM's head, nor did he launch himself. Nothing you posted above proves it was targeting, maybe rewatch the slow motion. Late slide led into a hit on his shoulder and follow through caused a hit to the head. Late hit yes, targeting NO. 1 Quote Link to comment
irafreak
The qb slide is tough for defenders. I mean the guy was already beginning his dive for a tackle as am made the slide. That is a flag 9 times out of 10 but I still don't like sliding like that anyway. Quote Link to comment
